1. Read the following passages. Briefly describe Jesus’ approach to exorcism? How did these encounters come about? Mark 1:21-26, Mark 7:24-30, Mark 9:14-27

2. Can Satan/demons possess Christians? Why or why not? Read the following passages and list characteristics of the people who were demon possessed. What do these accounts have in common? Mk 1:22-26, Mk 5:1-5, Mk 9:17-26

3. Read Exodus 20:5,34:7; Numbers 14:18; Deut. 5:9. Some argue that these verses teach “generational curses”…the idea that sins of parents can cause a “curse” in the form of satanic activity to be passed onto their children. What do you think?

The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me,…

When he had spoken to me according to these words, I turned my face toward the ground and was mute. And behold, one in the likeness of the children of man touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. I said to him who stood before me, "O my lord, by reason of the vision pains have come upon me, and I retain no strength. How can my

And he said, "O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage." And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me." Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come…
