Materials Used for Volcano Demo.CardboardPaint (Choose Your own Color)Volcano kit from Hobby Lobby ( works great

but you can also make your own out of plaster of Paris by forming it into a volcano shape with a center hole)

VinegarBaking SodaAny extra pictures or diorama you want to

use to make the volcano look real and fun.

Volcano ActivityTo make the simulation of a volcano erupting,

simply put baking soda in the volcano hole. Add vinegar and a chemical reaction takes place and the volcano will erupt. You can add food color or even paint to give it some color.

Materials used for tornado/ hurricane demonstration.CardboardDuck tapePlexiglasDry iceWarm water in a beakerHot plateFan

Tornado/Hurricane ActivityBuild a 12” X 12” box with at least two windows of

Plexiglas. In all four sides put at least a ¾” slit in opposite sides from the other.

After built heat the hot plate and put hot water in a pan and place on the hot plate.

Place a good size piece of dry ice in the pan. Place the box structure around the hot plate.Let a cloud form.Place a fan on top of the box with a low speed.The cloud will start to rotate in a counter clockwise

direction forming a simulation of a tornado/hurricane.
