It is almost impossible to tell which plant a seed will grow into just by looking at it because lots of them
look very similar.

Different seeds need to be planted at different times of the year. They also need to be planted in different places.
When?March, April, May
Where?Plant your seeds in small pots ofmoist compost.
How?Sow one seed edgeways in each pot of compost. Place the pots in a tray and cover them with a transparent lid. The seedlings will appear in 7-21 days.
CareRemove the cover when the seedlings appear. When there are 5-6 leaves put them outside. After a few days plant them in theground 90cm apart.
HarvestThe pumpkins will be ready between September and November. Harvest them before the first frost.
Sow: March to May
Harvest: Sep to Nov

When?All year round.
Where?Use a jar that can be covered with a clean cloth, a ‘sprouter’, a dish or a seed tray.
How?Wash the seeds in cold water, then leave them to soak in a covered jar for 8 hours. Place the seeds on several layers of damp paper towel. Ensure the paper remains damp at all times.
CareKeep your seeds in a dark cool cupboard. Once the seedlings have developed move them into the light.
HarvestThe sprouts will be ready to eat after 4-6 days when they are about 2.5cm tall.
