It is easy to feel the high quality of Gruppo Vercelli’s veal.
Colour. Gruppo Vercelli’s white-meat veal characteristic colour is due to the young
age of the calves, and by their special diet of dry feeds and milk.
Scent. The Group’s fresh and healthy meats have a mild scent, with delicate tones
of grass and cereals.
Taste. Italian veal meats have a delicate taste and the right amount of juices.
Texture. Gruppo Vercelli’s Italian veal has a very fine, velvety texture to the touch
and to the palate.
Only the high standards of Gruppo Vercelli’s integrated supply chain can guarantee
excellent quality throughout the entire process, from the selection of each individual
animal for farming, to the specific diet plan and the animal welfare through each
phase of the chain (farming, transport, slaughtering).

WHY CHOOSE AN INTEGRATED SUPPLY CHAINOur Traceability System is guarantee of the origin,quality and health of Gruppo Vercelli’s meats.
The management of the supply chain starts with the individual animal selection for farming and ends in
the finished product as it reaches the consumer, through specific stages that are all subject to strict quality
checks and designed to ensure the traceability and health of the meats:
selection and purchase control for each individual animal
creation and control of a passport for each individual animal
diet plan and medicines control for each batch/individual animal
slaughtering control and processing in batches
logistics management
Gruppo Vercelli’s Traceability System (certificate ISO 22005) documents the entire
supply chain throughout production: individual animal and feeds selection, each farming
stage, the transport and all slaughtering stages up until the finished product reaches
the shelves in store.
OUR NUMBERS
Over 50,000 calves reared and slaughtered every year.
100,000 cattle: annual capacity of the slaughtering plant in
Formigliana (VC).
200 hectares of land farmed according to the latest
agricultural and environmental practices.
Over 30 farming plants, in Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia
