This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding Documents dated April 28, 2017. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Proposal Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification. This Addendum consists of 5 pages plus 9 pages of attachments for a total of 14 pages. CLARIFICATIONS

1. None in this Addendum.

CHANGES TO PROJECT MANUAL

1. SECTION 04810 UNIT MASONRY a. 2.01, b. – add sub-items: “3. Burlington Brick by Columbus Brick Company” and “4. Red Wire-Cut

222 Modular, Columbia 4, Carolina Collection by Forterra.” 2. SECTION 06100 ROUGH CARPENTRY

a. 1.01.A.2. – add sub-item: “a. Additional blocking is required to be centered behind all Video Display Plug Boxes as located throughout the building. Reference E-AV Sheets for locations. Blocking is to be 4 feet square.”

3. SECTION 06550 QUARTZ SOLID SURFACE: a. 2.01 MANUFACTURERS, A: Change “Diresco” to read “Vadara”. b. 2.02 MATERIALS: Delete this paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following:

“ A. Material: Homogeneous quartz surfaces material B. Window sills - 2 cm (3/4") 1. Color: Absolute Blanc C. Restroom Vanities - 2 cm (3/4") 1. Color: Nero Galassia D. Vertical Surfaces – 2 cm (3/4") 1. Color: Absolute Blanc E. Countertops/Millwork Cladding – 2 cm (3/4") 1. Color: Absolute Blanc”.

4. SECTION 10400 IDENTIFYING DEVICES: a. 2.07 ALUMINUM LETTERS, add the following: “B. Interior Cast Aluminum Letters. Furnish and

install individual cast metal letters. Letters shall be flat faced, aluminum, with finish as selected by the Architect from manufacturers full line of finishes. Font shall be selected by the Architect from manufacturers full line of fonts. Letters shall be Gemini Signs or equal manufacturer. Text and letter sizes shall be as shown on drawings. Backs of letters to be tapped for threaded stud mounting with spacer sleeves. Provide mounting templates for each set/grouping of letters/text.”

5. SECTION 15110 PIPE AND FITTINGS a. 110.2.A.5 – Replace with the following: “Utility and relief drains, including AHU condensate drain,

shall be Type “L” copper with solder fittings”. 6. SECTION 15160 MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSULATION

a. 160.2.A – Replace with the following: “Domestic hot and cold water and all storm water piping shall be insulated with 1” thick Johns-Manville “Micro-Lok HP” fiberglass pipe insulation with 25/50 flame smoke rating or approved equal. Longitudinal laps and butt strips shall be smoothly secured with Benjamin-Foster 85-20 adhesive. Fittings and valves on pipe sizes smaller than 3” shall be insulated with J-H #301 insulating and finishing cement to a thickness equal to the adjacent pipe insulation. Fittings and valves 3” and larger shall be insulated with molded Fiber Glass covers secured with Fab-Cloth and finished with a generous coat of Foster 31-99 Mastic. The underside of all roof drains shall be insulated with 2” fiberglass duct wrap insulation with all joints and seams glued and sealed.

7. SECTION 15300 PLUMBING FIXTURES, TRIM AND SPECIALTIES a. 300.2.B – Add the following:

1. FD-3 (Floor Drain): Zurn (ZN662) with 16” square nickel bronze strainer, sediment bucket, and 4” outlet.

2. RD-3 (Roof Drain): Zurn (ZC-100-C) 15” cast iron body with cast iron grate dome, underdeck clamp, 4” outlet.

CHANGES TO DRAWINGS

1. DRAWING AD2.03 – FINISH KEY: a. Change all references of Quartz Manufacturer that read “DIRESCO” to read “VADARA”. b. Change all references of Quartz color that read “PREMIUM PURE WHITE A250” to read

“ABSOLUTE BLANC”. c. Change all references of Quartz color that read “BLACK DIVINITY A035” to read “NERO

GALASSIA”. d. Change the NOTES section of the CURTAINS & VALENCES: “54” WIDE PANELS; PROVIDE

BLACK-OUT LINERS SEWN INTO EACH PANEL”. 2. Add AD3.1 (attached) to revise trench drain to cast-in-place concrete in lieu of polymer concrete sections. 3. Add AD3.2 (attached) to identify invert elevation of cleanouts at locations of mechanical roof downspouts

tie-in to site drawings. 4. Add AD3.3 (attached) to correct invert elevations on paver trench drain system at rear of building adjacent

to amphitheater. 5. Add AD3.S1 (attached) to modify drawing AD2.1 from addendum 2 to clarify walkway dimensions.

6. DRAWING S1.01 – Clarification: Special Inspection tasks listed on Sheet S1.01 under “Special Inspections” shall be the responsibility of the Owner. All other testing listed in the technical specifications of each material shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, unless otherwise indicated by special inspections note on S1.01.

7. DRAWING 4/S2.12 – Add a note pointing to the top of the interior stringer at the top of the third floor stair landing that reads “TOP OF STEEL STRINGER TO BE FLUSH WITH CONCRETE LANDING SLAB”.

8. DRAWING S6.01 – DETAILS a. Detail 3/S6.01 Detail – Add the following note: “CLARIFICATION - PROVIDE CONTINUOUS

SHELF ANGLE ATTACHED TO THE FACE OF CONCRETE FLOOR SLABS. PROVIDE 10”x10”x3/8” CONNECTION PLATE AT 4’-0” O.C. POSITION AS DETAILED AT EACH FINISHED FLOOR LEVEL AT THE NEAREST COURSING OF BRICK. SHELF ANGLES ARE TO REMAIN AT CONSISTENT HEIGHT AT EACH LEVEL AROUND COMPLETE BUILDING PERIMETER WHERE FACE BRICK IS LOCATED. 9. DRAWING S6.10, DETAIL 7. - Provide 2 inch pvc sleeves through each double tee stem at the neutral axis of the section spaced 4’ – 0” longitudinally for support of hoist, lighting and other ancillary heavy loads. Additionally, provide galvanized steel “tee” hangers to fit between double tee joints for support of ceiling and other lightly loaded elements.

10. DRAWING A1.11 – THIRD FLOOR & PENTHOUSE OPENINGS PLAN a. Conference Room 331 – Add Window Tag to un-labeled (bottom-right corner) section of window to

read: “331c”. Add window to “Aluminum Frame Schedule – Third Floor” on Sheet A7.03R (Added this addendum).

11. DRAWING A1.15 – FIRST FLOOR FINISH PLAN: Add a note pointing to the bottom of the inner railing of MONUMENTAL STAIR 121 that reads “RETURN FULL HEIGHT OF TERRAZZO BASE AT END OF STAIR AROUND END OF STRINGER AND BACK TO INSIDE CORNER”.

construction with high performance sill as specified in lieu of the shear block system as shown in some details.

b. Clarification: At all window head locations to receive shades (see sheet A7.03R), whether motorized or manually operated, shall be integrated into the window head framing in a manner similar that shown in detail B1.1/A5.02.

22. DRAWING EAV1.0 a. AV Backbox & Power Coordination Schedule

ii. See box types AC, AVK, T6. The box sizes include typographical errors. The correct box sizes are as follows (Width x Height x Depth):

1. Type AC: Hoffman ASE, 6” x 6” x 4” 2. Type AVK: Hoffman ASE, 6” x 6” x 4” 3. Type T6: Hoffman ASE, 6” x 6” x 6”

iii. See box type FB. Note that the model number for this box reflects a custom box assembly. Contact the manufacturer and reference the Quote Number (QT) as shown on the schedule.

1. Replace Note 10 with the following, “10. For all AV Box locations, provide a separate power receptacle as noted. Locate the power box directly adjacent to AV backboxes U.O.N. Allow for standard clearance per NEC.”

2. Replace Note 12 with the following, “12. Boxes noted as ‘4S’ are standard EO style, 4” Square Box, Welded, Metallic, 3.5” deep, UON.”

3. Add Note 14 to read as follows, “14. Gang boxes are EO style, Size as noted. Provide welded, metallic type, 3.5” deep, UON.”

23. DRAWINGS E2.2 & E4.2; (First and Third Floor Power Plans): Add the following note to each drawing: “NOTE: COORDINATE POWER FLOOR BOX/CONDUIT LOCATIONS FOR FIXED FURNITURE WITH FIXED FURNITURE VENDOR/SHOP DRAWINGS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION”.

24. DRAWINGS E2.4, E2.5, E3.4, E3.5 & E4.4; (All Electrical A/V Systems Connection Plans): Delete all references to “SC”, including associated circuits, switches and junction boxes. No powered screen controls will be installed in this project.

25. DRAWINGS E3.2, E3.5, E4.2; (All Second and Third Floor Power Plans): Delete all references to “MS”, including associated circuits, switches and junction boxes. No powered motorized shades will be installed on the second or third floors of this project.

26. DRAWING P3.02 – Add waste and sewer connections to sink in Faculty Lounge 303 and shown on attachment drawing P3.02R1.
