GS3000 LIFT-AND-SLIDE SPACE AND LIGHT

For residential and recreational interiors with large size fully openable windows providing ample natural light —to have controlled opening of the sash for correct ventilation — is a highly desirable feature.

Lift-and-Slide system openings make it possible to furnish rooms without wasting space while maintaining high levels of weathertightness and security.

Every square metre of the home is an investment to be protected.

The Lift-and-Slide system is the ideal solution for large windows, with sashes of significant size and weight. The clean lines and attractive appearance of the fixture blend perfectly with the surrounding space, while the multipoint locking system assures correct and secure fastening of the window.

The possibility of creating a flush threshold with “dropped” floor in compliance with architectural barrier accessibility standards ensures maximum ease of access to outdoor spaces.

The GS3000 Lift-and-Slide system combines the advantages of traditional sliding windows, such as ease of operation and minimum encumbrance of open sashes, with those of a side-hung window, including optimal thermal and acoustic insulation and resistance to the ingress of air, water and dust.

The GS3000 system is complete with components that enhance the interior design of living spaces such as the attractive modern handles, and with hardware that assures optimised performance of the fixture and absolute safety for users.

GS3000 LIFT-AND-SLIDE THE SYSTEM

The GS3000 Lift-and-Slide system is available for sashes up to 400 kg. The complete range of hardware available makes it possible to create sashes of up to 3750 mm in height with three different handle styles and a wide range of finishes.

Opening and closing movements are perfectly smooth and silent. The system is equipped with a safety device to dampen the handle return movement.

The possibility of micro-ventilating the room, thanks to a special locking point, completes the many pluses of the GS3000 Lift-and-Slide system.

The GS3000 Lift-and-Slide system extends its range of handles with the Asia, Kora and Prima lines in a huge assortment of colours, including the silver anodised, Trend NickelSat, and Trend CromoSat finishes, and Base Primer pre-treatment for independent coating with the required paint finish.

The handles for GS3000 Lift-and-Slide openings are matched with window and door handles in the same Asia, Kora and Prima styles for an attractive and coordinated aesthetic impact in all rooms.

The available handle versions are:

n Single without provision for cylinder

n Single with provision for cylinder

n Double with provision for cylinder

All the handles feature a 10 mm square spindle and can be installed on sashes of up to 400 kg.

GS3000: SAFETY OF OPERATION, ALSO FOR CHILDREN

The hardware system for the GS3000 Lift-and-Slide system is safe, even when handling very heavy sashes. It is essential to protect the safety of the person moving the sash by controlling the handle return movement during the closing phase to avoid recoil movements that can be hazardous for small children in particular.

The GS3000 drivegear can be easily equipped with a damper spring to control the return force of the handle during the sash closing phase.

The safety spring dampens rotation of the handle during lowering of the sash, braking the movement to ensure soft return of the handle to its starting position.

This component allows safe operation of the sliding door by any user.

The safety spring is recommended for sashes weighing more than 150 kg.

GS3000: VERSION FOR SASHES UP TO 400 KG

Combining the various components in the range results in the creation of two different versions of the system depending on the sash weight: a version for sashes up to 400 kg, and a version for sashes up to 150 kg.

Both versions make use of two drivegear models, to be selected in accordance with the profile employed and the sash height: the one with 27.5 mm backset and the one with 37.5 mm backset, both with provision for cylinder. The drivegear has an aluminium body and stainless steel internal sliding rod.

The rollers are equipped with fibreglass-reinforced nylon wheels to guarantee ruggedness of the system and exceptionally smooth sliding of the sash. The additional rollers are used when it is necessary to make wide doors > 2500 mm or weighing more than 300 kg.

GS3000: VERSION FOR SASHES UP TO 150 KG

The 150 kg version makes use of the same two drivegear models as the 300/400 kg version, with 27.5 mm backset and with 37.5 mm backset. The drivegear has an aluminium body and stainless steel internal sliding rod.

The rollers are equipped with fibreglass-reinforced nylon wheels to guarantee ruggedness of the system and exception-ally smooth sliding of the sash.

The rollers kit for sashes of up to 150 kg are available in two models:

n 150/22 rollers to be mounted directly in the standard 22 mm profile slot without the use of adapters.

n 150/18 rollers which can be installed on profiles with standard 22 mm slot using the adapters supplied.
