Engineering College, Rajkot; Saffrony Institute of Technology, Mehsana & Vishwakarma College of Engineering, Chandkheda respectively. Our team is working very hard to get more such chapters opened so that more and more students get the IEI benefit. Our members serving at faculty at engineering colleges & polytechnics are requested to take the lead. We have also opened a State level Technicians’ Chapter at Ahmedabd. All the Technician and Senior Technician members automatically become members of this Chapter. The Chapter shall commence its activities from September onwards. We request you to please volunteer to get more engineers enrolled with The Institution of Engineers (India). If you are a faculty member, please prepare your co-professors/ lecturers to join. Let us bring more and more engineers to our fraternity. We have prepared for circulation a small booklet explaining all about membership, its advantages etc. Last month saw GSC hosting two big events back to back within a span of a week. First it was All India seminar on Polymer processing followed by 31 st National Convention of Civil Engineers, however post Reservation rally we had to postpone the later to 20-21 September. The All India Seminar went smoothly with huge presence of members, students and academicians as well as practicing engineers. We have established Gujarat State AMIE Alumni for those who have obtained AMIE degree from The Institution of Engineers (India). AMIE degree holders may join by sending their contact details to us. Alumni programs are being worked out. We shall announce the same in our newsletter shortly. In our endeavor to be more helpful to our members, we seek your valuable suggestions regarding modification/ change in this newsletter format & details to make it more reader friendly. You may contribute any article / information worth sharing. We shall try to include the same to the extent possible.
