simulation resources and experiences globally. Thus, the resources can be managed

of losing the license. The performance of the headquarters' GSC server is better. The calculation

speed is faster, thus, the simulation efficiency is improved a lot. The centralized management of the simulation services improves the

simulation capability of Huawei network design.

and you have no dongle, how to deal with it?

The GSC provides many dongle resources. You can use

them with the use application when accessing the

company Intranet.

When the local network is unstable and the

floating dongle is terminated frequently, you

cannot stand for it.

The server of the GSC locates in the data center. All

the project calculation is performed in the server.Even if the local network has faults, the project data

will not lose if the user re-logs in to the server within

24 hours.

The speed of the laptop PC is slow and thehardware space is small.

The processing speed of the project is decided by the GSC

performance configuration. Without occupying the local

resources, the hardware configuration of the GSC is 2 x 2.4

GB CPU. The GSC has 8 GB memory and the calculation

performance is geometrically improved. The 200 stations

occupation of a user can be realized within 2 minutes.

There are simulation projects of

thousands stations to be processed.

Applying Authority

The applicant fills in the application form and the Commitment for Using

Network Tools.

The director or the region network design manager signs and confirms it.

(The mail confirmation is allowed.)

The applicant sends the confirmed application firm to:

[email protected].

After the approval and authorization, the administrator notifies the applicant

through email. The applicant logs in to the server and operates following the Global

Simulation Center Operation Flow and Criteria and Global Simulation

Center Operation and Management Regulations.

Data Transmission (1)-Email Mode

Files cannot be copied and pasted directly between the remote serverand the local host.

There are two transmission modes:

Email mode

It is suggested transmitting small files in this mode.

Note:Engineers are forbidden to send email from their own mailbox totheir own mailbox.



Data Transmission (2)-FTP Mode

FTP mode At local, the user can upload data througnftp://10.75.47.81

(The user name and password for uploading and downloading are both unet.) At server, choose My Computer > Network Drives.

The FTP on’10.75.47.81’(F:) is displayed.Copy the uploaded data to the directory of the project.

Note ：After copying data, you must delete the uploaded data in the FTP. Or else, theGSC use qualification will be cancelled. (The downloading data procedure issimilar.)

The naming convention of the folder is:

country name_project name.

2. Naming the project files

The naming convention of the UNET project

files is country name_project

name_remarks_date.

Delete the following project filesafter the simulation:

1. Temporary map data

2. Matrix data in the simulation

calculation matrix

3. Compressed project file

The size of the data

can be several GB

and the data can be

deleted.

Delete the data of the temporary map.

FAQ (1)

The remote connection cannot be performed.

Phenomenon:

The user clicks the link in the Remote desktop connection dialog box and the error is prompt as

follows:

Solutions:The user should first check whether the entered server IP address is correct

and the local host is connected to the company Intranet. Then, ping the

relative IP address of the server. If the IP address cannot be pinged,

contact the local IT engineers or the network maintenance engineers.



FAQ (2)

The server cannot be logged in to.Phenomenon:

The user cannot log in to the server after entering the user name and password.

Solutions:

The user should first check whether the connected server is theapplied server and the user name and password is that of the

applicant. Then, check whether the CHINA domain is selected. If

all the previous are correct, you can send email to

[email protected] .
