1.2 System Environmental Requirements
WINDOWS XP/2000.
1.3 How to Install Software
This version of software is CD-ROM version; it runs the .EXE files in Intelligent Patrol
Management System in Comprehensive Edition in CD, and the installation may be finished
according to the prompt. The computer may be re-started during installation.

When below window appears, please select Cancel to cancel this step.
After finish above application installation, please select to install driver CP210X, otherwise, the
system may not read data from GS6000 probe.
1.4 How to Uninstall the Software
Select Uninstall IPMSV3.6 in system Start--Program--IPMSV3.6.
Its suggested to uninstall the software only by above method as other one may lead tofault for system operation.
1.5 System Login
After installation, click the option of IPMS V3.6 in desktop or Start/Program/IntelligentPatrol Management System V3.6 to start the system, and the login window will appear(See the Fig.1-1).

For the first time to use the system, please adjust the system time to the standard time .
The administrators password is 9999.
The operators password is 0000
1.6 Probe Type Selection
Before use the software, please make sure the probe type, (See the Fig.1-2). Select acorrect type is very necessary.

2.1 Set Patrol Route
The patrol route is the route set for the patrolman to follow by administrators.
Enter from menu Basic Setting Line(L)
The function for each part of the window (see Fig. 2-1):

Setup or add one patrol route: select the head route L, click button Add, software willadd a route by a 2 digital line code automatically, and then, input line name in the blankplace of LineName.
Change line name: select the line which need be changed, click Modify, then changethe name in the LineName.
After operation of Add or Modify, please click Save to save these operation.
Delete line: select the line which need be deleted, click Delete.
Print line: click Print to print lines name and code.

2.2 Set Patrol Place
Enter from menu Basic Setting Button(B), in this item, places can be marked bycorresponding button.
There are two methods to definite places information that button marked.(1) Batch settings: at first read probe once to clear all data in it, and then read the
information button followed one by one, the information button should be marked asrequired, it will be easy for distribution and installation in future. Connect the cable orcommunication port with computer, software will search the probe automatically andthe button ReadProbe is available now, (see Fig. 2-2) click ReadProbe the left ofthe window will show the code of information button, the order from top to bottom isthe order that probe read information button. (see Fig. 2-3) Fill in the name in theblank of PlaceName, click OK and Save to finish.

(2) Setting one by one: click Add, select button item, (see Fig. 2-4), put the information buttonclose to probe, probe will induct the button and software will show the buttons code in the
blank of ButtonID. Also, fill in the place name in the blank.

Change place ID or name: select the button or place which need be changed, clickModify, then change the name and click OK to finish.
Delete place: select the place or button which need be deleted, click Delete.
Print place: click Print to print places name and button information.

2.3 Buttons On Line
Enter from menu Basic Setting ButtonsOnLine(P), to add place/button name foreach line.
The function for each part of the window: (see Fig. 2-5)

Left of the window: show all currently set routes, and can select any route for corresponding
operation.
Middle of the window: show places name of set routes
Right of the window: show all buttons which can be marked on lines at the beginning, when there
are buttons added into lines, it shows the rest place buttons which has not been marked on lines
Add button to the lines: select a line and select button in the right of the window, (drag
mouse to select batch buttons), and then, click icon, the selected buttons will be
added into selected routes in the middle of the window. If delete button from route, then
click icon, the selected button will be returned to the right of the window.
Adjust the order of places: select button on the line, click or to adjust the
position in the list.
Set public check point: select Public CheckPoint, set same button to the different lines.

Print buttons on line: click Print CheckPoint to print all lines or selected lines button
settings.
Notes: when install buttons on the lines, please be sure the list information should be as
the same as actual places information, otherwise may cause data do not match or lost.
2.4 Set Patrol Man
Enter from menu Basic Setting Guard(W).
Set method is the same as place settings. This setting is optional operation, if there areonly one or two patrol men, man button may not be set.
2.5 Set Probe Number
Set probe number for each patrol route, if no public place, this operation can be ignore.
Enter from menu Basic Setting - Probe(N).
Before setting, every probe number should be aware, click ReadProbe in main windowof the software, put probe on the communication port or connect with PC by cable,software will read and show probe number automatically, if the probe has not been set to
lines, software will point out this probe number can be used on all of lines. (See Fig. 2-6)
Add probe number: Click Add and then click button, select the lines which need tobe binding with probe number, click Select, fill in probe number in ProbeID, pressOK to finish this setting. The probe ID now has connection with the lines its used.
Modify probe number: click Modify, fill replaced number in ProbeID.
Delete probe: click Delete, the probe can be deleted from the software.
If there is public point function, the probes should be binding in this item, otherwise datawill not be judged into pointed lines, also can not be analyzed. If there is no public point
in system, then this operation can be ignore.

2.6 Patrol Plan Schedule Setting
Enter from menu Basic Setting Plan(S) to set the plan schedule.
Plan is set up to current month, each lines should be set separately, every plan is oneschedule, this schedule unit is minutes, guard should check every place once in thisschedule. Plan schedule can be set up by ready lines with places marked, also can beset up according to pointed places.
Set planning: click Setting, (see Fig. 2-7) if schedule is arranged by regular same spaceof time, BatchSetRegularTime function can be selected. PatrolTtime means the timeconsuming of check every points once, this is named one shift, RestTime means guardrest time between two shifts. Fill in the BeginTime and EndTime, this is for thebeginning time and ending time in one day, click Add to generate the one days schedule.If the time period is not regular, then each period should be input one by one.
Notes: when one shift time includes 12:00am, NextDay should be selected to generatethe continuously schedule.
Click OK to finish and return plan window.
The set schedule plan is for current month, when next month coming, the software willupdate schedule referring to the settings of last month, no need manually set up again.

3.1 Read Probe Data
Enter software, connect probe or communication port with computer, click Read/probe,software will read patrol data from probe and save data automatically. (See Fig. 3-1)

DataNumber: show the count of records already be read.
SaveDataProgress: show data processing progress.
SetProbeID: input number, maximum 10 digit, click this item.
AutoMode: save and process data automatically.
SaveData: if cancel AutoMode function, use this to save and analyze patrol datamanually.
Re-Read: this is a recovery operation when system lost data, cancel AutoMode item,input records number that should be re-read in the blank, click Re-Read.
Notes: Do not use this operation frequently to avoid too many repeated recordsoccupying the data space.

Correct probe clock: the system will appear a tip to ask if correct probe clock when thereis difference more than 1 minute between probe inner clock and computer clock.
3.2 Patrol Data Query
Enter software, click QueryResult, query match patrol data according to schedule plan.(See Fig. 3-2)

There are total 5 kinds of query results:
All: Show all patrol events which are already set plans.
OnTime: Show patrol events which are placed on time.
NotOnTime: Show all events except OnTime, including missing patrol and wrongpatrol.
Miss: Show the events which is missing but should be patrol.
ErrorTime: show early or late patrol within the range of error time, only show on theErrorTime function effected in the plan setting.
Query condition: can be selected on the basis of lines, pointed places in the lines, patrolman, specific date and time.

Missing data can be described in the Remark, double click the missing record andremark tip will be shown.
3.3 Original Data Query
Enter software, click Original, query all patrol data in the system, whatever whether setinformation in BasiSetting or not. (See Fig. 3-3)

Original record query condition: can be selected on the basis of lines, probe and specificdate and time.
Delete records: click Delete will delete all days original records. This operation isavailable just for administrator.
Print records: click Print to print queried original records.
3.4 Re-analyze Data
Enter from QueryAndStat Re-analyzeData(F) , if there is modified in plan, place, orpatrol man (update after all modifying), use this operation to re-analyze data from originalrecords. (See Fig. 3-4)

Enter re-analyze status, OK is not active, when selecting pointed line, OK becomesactive, click OK, system will start to re-analyze data.
Re-analyze data operation also can be done basis of specific month and date.
If system is destroyed and data lost, original records can be restored from backup data,and then do this operation to re-analyze data and get results.
3.5 Result Statist ics
Enter software, click Stat, gather statistics of the correct patrol result basis of line andplace. (See Fig. 3-5)
Print and Excel button are not active normally, only when data is gathered andshown in the left StatisticPatrolResult list, the buttons are active, data can be printed orexported to Excel.

Click Add to add operator of the system. Only one Administrator is permit in the system,he can do all operation if the system. Administrator can modify system settings. Operator
just can read data, query data, gather statistics, etc.
4.2 Change Password
Enter from SysSetting ChangePassword(M) . (See Fig. 4-2)
This operation is only to change current users password.
The default administrator password is 9999, default operator password is 0000.

4.3 Data Backup
Save all basic information and patrol data into the folder of installation directory \back\,file is named *.GS$, this backup data includes all system data (database).
Notes: please keep backup files safely, for restore data usage when system destroyed orsystem reinstalled.

4.4 Restore Backup Data
Select backup data from backup directory, (*.GS$), click Open to restore.
4.5 Clear Patrol Data
Select lines and specific month clear unneeded patrol data. This function is to clearoverdue data to release more space, improve the system operating speed. (See Fig. 4-3)

4.6 Database Initialization

Select all or partly items to initialize corresponding data, click OK, database will beclear up totally or partly.

Click ProofProbeTime: proof probe time unconditionally.
