INSTALLATION

Installation on site by our integrated installation teams. Our installation teams, trained and skilled in working at height, operate all over the world. They follow specific training programs [cradles, work at heigth, electrical systems, etc.)

A FULL RANGE OF GUARDRAILS FOR COLLECTIVE PROTECTION

Guardrails are collective protection equipments that prevent falls from the edges of buildings or machines.Many solutions are possible, depending on the architectural and aesthetic constraints.

Light and corrosion-resistant, ALTIGUARD guardrails consist of aluminium sections and accessories.

An ingenious, patented system of clamps facilitates installation of top and middle rails.

ALTIGUARD guardrails can be configured for any area to be protected by the use of special brackets and adjustment of the middle rails.

WHAT THE LAW SAYS :

“ Temporary work at height must be based

on a work plan designed installed and

equipped to ensure the safety of workers.

Falls from height must be prevented by

guardrails, built-in or safely secured, rigid

and of sufficient strength.

In cases where collective protection

systems cannot be fitted, workers must be

protected by a suitable fall-arrest system.”

A FULL RANGE OF GUARDRAILS FOR COLLECTIVE PROTECTION

GUARDRAILS FOR STEEL ROOFSCompatible with all (dry) steel roofs and sandwich panels installed in accordance with DTU 40.35.Minimum panel thickness 63/100.

Water tightness of the roof is ensured by EPDM seals and the use of 6 sealed rivets.

The arms, fitted with modular plates, permit installation in either direction of the corrugations of the roof. In the standard version, installation is possible with a spacing between corrugations of 250 or 333 mm.

Avoids any drilling of the roof or removing the covering.

Provides modularity of installation to suit the area to be protected.

Stability of the system is provided by a counterweight that can be handled by a single person.

The ergonomic, rounded shape of the ballast weight effectively protects the waterproof membrane.

Positioning pins provide safe stacking and facilitate storage.

COLLECTIVE PROTECTION

Can be mounted on any type of roof with a parapet to which a collective protection system can be fitted. Several configurations are possible :

BATILINE is a lifeline that enables movement from one support to another without unhooking when the lifeline is close to the operator.

COMBILINE is a flexible safety device patented by VERTIC to meet the safety requirements for roofs with a slope of more than 15°.

This system uses the same components as the ALTILINE, except for the runner.

CABLE SYSTEMS

A lifeline is a flexible safety device that enables free movement at height in complete safety.

It can be fitted to a wide range of structures, (roofs, cranes, facades, machines, etc...).

It can be used by one or more persons at the same time.

• The components are stainless steel for maximum life of safety systems for working at height

• The flexibility of the cable means it can be routed in various ways

• Intermediate supports and brackets guide the cable for the whole of its route

• The operator, who is attached to the cable, can move round without needing to detach himself when moving from one support to another

• The lifeline cannot be deformed

• The tension indicator and fall indicator are built in

• The cable terminations are traditionally crimped in a press. We also offer manual terminations that can be installed without special tools

ALTILINE enables free movement at a distance in complete safety.

The runner can be connected at any point of the cable and permits free movement at a distance, especially when the operator is far from the lifeline.

VERTILINE is a safety device that permits vertical movement at height in complete safety.

It can be used with a wide range of structures (roof access ways, facades, ladders, pylons, cranes, windmills, etc.).

The speed of advance is controlled by the operator (no unwanted locking, either when climbing or descending).

The system is used without runner by means of a single carabiner. This inexpensive solution is very useful for making roofs safe.

Two runners have been developed specially to allow working at a distance between cable supports and perform a fall arrest function (uni- and bidirectional).

Areas of application: inclined access ways, arched roofs, amusement parks, forced lines, stairs, etc...

Certification has been extended to 25 m with the use of the IFR25.This applies especially to the paths of overhead cranes when the openings in the frame are wide apart.

Rollers can be mounted on the runner when heavy loads are used in association with the lifeline.

FLEXIBLE SOLUTION FOR PROTECTION FROM FALLS FROM HEIGHT

A fall on a lifeline generates a force at the end of the cable that can exceed 2 tonnes.

To reduce the load applied to the building, VERTIC has developed the ABS55 energy absorber which can be fitted at the end of all VERTIC lifelines.

RAILSYSTEMS

The rigid design of rail systems permits working at height and allows the runner to slide very easily.

This is the ideal solution when the rail is installed at a distance from the operator, especially when connected to a heavy weight (safety block).

RIGID SYSTEM FOR PROTECTION AGAINST FALLS FROM HEIGHTEN 795 CLASS D

ALTIRAIL is a rigid anchor line for use when the angle of the support is less than 15°.

It is certified for distances between supports of up to 6 meters and can support up to 6 persons.This solution is especially suited to high installations on the underside of roofs, or when the height above ground is incompatible with a cable lifeline.

ALTIRAIL is also certified for spans up to 30 m, in association with a cable system.

COMBIRAIL is a rigid vertical, inclined or horizontal anchor line.

The moving fall arrest device is fitted with a bidirectional centrifugal locking system.

In the horizontal position, the rail can be reversed to disable the locking system. A single support rail is used for all applications. It can be installed on a wide range of structures (ladders, roofs, facades, etc.).

RIGID SYSTEM FOR PROTECTION AGAINST FALLS FROM HEIGHT

The fall arrest runner permits free movement without unwanted locking, both when climbing and descending.

(1) The energy absorber is built into the runner.(2) Bi-directional locking only when the operator requires it. Overspeed locking whatever the slope of the support.(3) The locking function can be disabled for slopes of less than 15°.

Easy and quickly installed, it provides a reliable safety solution.
