Calpe is NauticalCalpe’s geographical location and fantastic microclimate (3,180 hours of sun each year and an average annual temperature of 18º) allow you to practice an endless number of sports such as sailing, diving, rowing... and if you’re a bit adventurous, swimming at its beaches in the cooler months.

Calpe has a comprehensive range of nautical facilities spread out across its 13 km of coastline, which make it one of Spain’s leading nautical destinations for both competition and leisure. Less than 10 minutes from the city center there are 3 marinas with 460 moorings, where you can do numerous activities such as scuba diving, rowing, sailing, windsurfing, parasailing, water skiing, and sea excursions, as well as introduction, specialization, and qualification courses or any other additional service that you need.

Calpe’s waters have been the home of numerous nautical events for years.

Puerto Blanco is a small, sheltered recreational boating facility located on the western side of the Bay of Calpe, northwest of Cabo Toix and west of the Peñón de Ifach.

REAl Club NáutiCo CAlPE

It is located at the foot of the western side of the Peñón de Ifach, which provides shelter and an extraordinary landmark for an easy approach. Calpe’s fishing fleet is moored in its harbor area. This club strives daily to increase the number of activities, sports, and nautical events it provides at its facilities.

Calpe has 3 marinas, all fully equipped with the latest generation of services and facilities that enable them to meet all your seafaring needs. Between the three marinas, there is a total of 460 moorings and various areas with anchor chains. Safe and guarded, they are all located in places where you can enjoy nautical life with the comfort and services of a seafaring town like Calpe.

The port of Les Bassetes is located between Cabo de Moraira and the Peñón de Ifach, in a bay featuring alternating coves and beaches with stretches of cliffs. Its dock is formed by two concrete piers where the nearest land serves as a dry dock for boats of moderate length.

Scuba Diving in Calpe

One of Calpe’s greatest treasures is hidden beneath its waters. Diving into them allows you to experience a spectacle of nature, where time slows down, the dimensions are transformed, and you feel transported to another world.

The richness of its depths provides numerous diving spots and underwater itineraries around the Peñón de Ifach and Morro de Toix such as Los Arcos, El Racó, El Paseo…

Immerse yourself in the silence of our sea and lose yourself in the labyrinths of rock arches and multicolored tunnels of corals, sponges, and anemones, where large lobsters and conger eels will surprise you while barracudas, bream, or damselfish swim past forming spectacular schools of fish.

If you’re less adventurous, grab your goggles and fins and enjoy snorkeling in a cove or explore the sea by hiring an excursion boat.

The Villa of Peñón de Ifach’s waters have hosted numerous nautical events for years such as the traditional Calpe-Formentera-Calpe race or national and international competitions such as the Women’s Match Race, valid for the world championship.Calpe is a nautical model in the Valencian Community, because its marinas provide crews with all the services they need as well as optimal sea conditions.
