Mathematische Nachrichten – Guide for Authors (October 2019) 1
GUIDE FOR AUTHORS
General Information
Only original papers not yet published and not
simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere
will be accepted.
All papers must be submitted via the online system:
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/mana.
If assistance is needed (or if for some reason online
submission is not possible), please contact the
Managing Editor ([email protected]).
Submission Instructions
Mathematische Nachrichten have adopted a new
article layout. New LaTeX stylefiles are in
preparation. For the time being, the old templates
LaTeX_stylefile.zip or any other classfiles can be
used.
Articles will be converted into the new layout by the
typesetter. Any source LaTeX code will be converted
to XML, as this is an essential prerequisite for online
publication. The XML version will then be used to
create the final output in the current journal layout.
Original submissions
Please submit online the following:
1) A PDF translation of the TEX file (fonts embedded;
file designation "main document").
2) A TEX file of your paper (fonts embedded; file
designation "supplementary material not for review")
3) Graphics may be included in PDF or uploaded
separately.
Revised submissions
Please submit online the following:
1) A PDF translation of the TEX file (fonts embedded;
file designation "main document").
2) A TEX file of your paper (fonts embedded; file
designation "supplementary material not for review")
3) Graphics need to be uploaded as separate files in a
graphics format such as TIFF, EPS, JPG, PDF with a

Color Figures
Please note that color figures will generally remain in
color in the electronic version of your paper, but will
be printed in black/white. Color figures for the printed
version can be purchased using the reprint order form.
Copyright
Your article cannot be published until the publisher has received the appropriate signed license agreement. Once your article has been received by Wiley for production the corresponding author will receive an email from Wiley’s Author Services system which will ask them to log in and will present them with the appropriate license for completion. Please be aware that this can take upto a few days.
Prior to publication, authors will receive page
proofs by e-mail in PDF format. Authors should
keep in mind that reading proofs is their
responsibility. Corrections should therefore be
clear. Corrections listed in an electronic file
should be sorted by line numbers. The use of
standard proof correction marks is recommended.
TEX files may be slightly modified by the typesetter
to follow the general presentation rules of the journal.
The main aim of proofreading is to correct errors that
may have occurred during the production process, and
not to modify the contents of the paper. The
reproduction of art work, the layout of the pages
and breaks in equations introduced by the production
staff should carefully be checked. Corrections that
may lead to a change in the page layout should be
avoided. Note that sending back a corrected
manuscript file is of no use.
Please correct your page proofs and return them
within 14 days together with the completed reprint
order form and the signed copyright agreement to the
Coordinating Editor: [email protected]. The
editors reserve the right to publish your article with
editors' corrections if your proofs do not arrive in time.
