123/33 Soi Nong Kae, Takiab Road, Khao Takiab, Hua Hin,ThailandLostLost Cafe was conceived in 2005 at a time when Hua Hin was still a relatively unknown holiday destination and Khao Takiab was known mainly for its temple. Look back just over twenty years in time and Hua Hin was primarily a small sleepy fishing village.

An introduction to...

Hua Hin (including Khao Takiab) now has as many as five million visitors per year, including a regular influx of weekend visitors from Bangkok. By 2005 the growth had begun in Hua Hin and an area located between Hua Hin and Khao Takiab was chosen to develop Lost Cafe. It proved to be an astute choice as more hotels and resorts have ‘sprung up’ in the surrounding area. As a major tourist destination there is no lack of bars and restau-rants in Hua Hin, therefore Lost Cafe needed to develop a ‘character’ and style that separated it from the competition. After a year of careful alterations to the core building, an East meets West theme finally started to appear, based on the owners travel and work experiences. Although inspired by a British/Belgian idea, influences are scattered throughout. The eating areas are very much inspired by Spanish and Italian bars, but look further and you will notice the magnificent wall murals of Thai scenes, painted by renowned Bangkok artist Paiboon Thamruangrit. While alterations were being completed, fixtures and fittings were sourced and imported from France, Belgium and the UK. All outdoor furniture is teak and imported from Indonesia. The flooring is recycled Deng hardwood from Thailand. The brickwork is from an old demolished pottery factory in Ratchburi, Thailand. And finally a new front entrance was built with the door being made of reclaimed woods, as are the feature window shutters installed throughout. Although rustic and natural in appearance Lost Cafe is not lag-ging behind in technology with five TV monitors on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Music is controlled from an under-stairs unit for the four amplifiers and fourteen speakers. Plus, there is a mixer and two microphones on the second floor. The ground floor is dominated by a large bar plus seating areas inside and out. Note: One alteration which may be tackled before a sale, is opening up window areas to allow for extra tables and increased access for walk in customers. The second floor allows for a variety of activities from live enter-tainment, to cosy quiet restaurant, to a private function room. The lavastone grill and separate bar enables it to run independently. Finally on the top floor there is accommodation suitable for owner, manager or even staff. There is also a roof-top sun lounging area with views to the sea and near-by Hyatt Regency Resort. One notable development in the immediate area, which is due for completion in 2015, is the Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall located op-posite the InterContinental Resort. You may ask why sell after nearly eight years of development and planning? The simple answer is time restraints. The owner has other businesses which need his time, attention and enthusiasm. Hopefully the following pages will give you a reasonable outline to Lost Cafe. Should you wish to get a better idea of the location of Lost Cafe, try a web search on Google Maps or Google Earth by typing in Lost Cafe, Hua Hin. USEFUL INFORMATION

We are all aware that one of the most important choices when find-ing a home is location. This is even more important when locating a business.Take a little time to do a web search and you will find a list of over a hundred hotels in Hua Hin and the surrounding area. This is significant, as their clients are also potential clients of Lost Cafe.Within walking distance of Lost Cafe you will find Hyatt Regency Resort, Chivasom, Ibis, Chomview, Amari, Wora Bura, Lets Sea and the InterContinental. Also worth a special mention is the well known Cicada Night Market,

popular with the middle class Thai weekenders who flock to Hua Hin. Cicada is located a mere 100 me-tres from Lost Cafe. You can find further information at: www.cicad-amarket.comOn a grander scale, the Thai gov-ernment has confirmed that bids will soon be accepted for the build-ing of four high speed rail links in Thailand, one of these links being Bangkok to Hua Hin.

Each year Hua Hin has a variety of events. Worth note was the par-ticipation of Li Na and Victoria Aza-renka at the Hua Hin World Tennis Invitation in 2012.The abundance of quality golf courses also means that several events on the Asian tour take place locally.Among the other events are the Vintage Car Parade, the Ballooning Festival, the Kite Festival, the Kite-boarding World Cup, the Honda Summer Music Festival, Hua Hin Half Marathon, Hua Hin Bike Week, the Food Festival, the Jazz Festival, Hua Hin Regatta and the Kings Cup Elephant Polo Tournament.
