The MD40 digital manometer is provided with a test and calibration certificate. This matches the calibration of the sample instrument, in agreement with international standards. The measurement uncertainty is “category B”.Ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and CALIBRATION, which expires each YEAR, must becarried out by authorized personnel using conforming devices.

Per each Celsius degree thepressure varies of about 1 mbar

Information note on the relationbetween pressure and temperature:

In order to define the stationary state of air, three macroscopic variables are necessary; each of them canbe measured directly. These variables are pressure, temperature and volume; the state of an air gas with volume V, pressure P,and temperature T is then defined by the Law of Boyle:P*V = n*R*T where n is the number of gram molecules making up the gas and R is an universal constant. The possible states of a gas with constant pressure and volume are expressed by the Laws of Gay-Lussac.The pressure being constant, the volume of a gas varies directly as its temperature, or vice versa. Therefore if you connect an instrument with variable temperatures, the instrument will certainly record adifferent final pressure compared to the initial one. This is normal and is not the result of the instrument’s wrong functioning.IMPORT ANT NOT E:When the manometer is on without any pressure, the decimal figures are unstable. This is not a calibrationerror or uncertainty, but due to the instrument’s high accuracy. Please note that the reading occurs at 18 bit. When the instrument is under pressure, it is automatically calibrated.

Tests and measurements in agreement with regulations

The UNI7129/01 norm (less than 35kW) prescribes the gas system tightness must be tested using atleast 100 mbar (1000 mmH2O) for a pressure stabilization time of 15 min each. The stabilization test is done using the MD40. After 15 stabilization minutes, you should perform thereading of the actual TEST, for further 15 minutes. No pressure loss should be detected between the actual test initial and final pressure. The test is passedif no pressure loss is detected.Note: The two measurements, stabilization and test, are taken automatically.Actions: Turn on the instrument, select mbar using SELECT. Press the TEST button and follow theinstructions.A T T E N T I O N ! !Before starting the tightness test, we recommend connecting the temperature probe. The probe should be placed away from sources of heat and/or cooling.Warning. Tests and measurements in agreement with regulations

The UNI7129/01 norm on Pressure plants prescribes that the technician has to check the gas systemtightness using a pressure of at least 5000 mbar (5 bar) for a pressure stabilization and testing timeof 15 min each. The stabilization test is done using the MD40. After 15 stabilization minutes, you should perform the readingof the actual TEST, for further 15 minutes. No pressure loss should be detected between the actual test initial and final pressure. The test is passedif no pressure loss is detected.Note: The two measurements, stabilization and test, are taken automatically.A T T E NT I O N! !Before starting the tightness test, we recommend connecting the temperature probe. The probe should be placed away from sources of heat and/or cooling.Warning. The temperature does not affect the tightness test, but the information could be useful andcompared with the pressure.Per each Celsius degree the pressure varies of about 1 mbarActions: Turn on the instrument, select mbar using SELECT. Press the TEST button and follow theinstructions.

The instrument asks if you would like to perform this test. Press ENTER.

Portable thermal printerThe majority of the portable devices manufactured by BEINAT S.r.l.can be used in conjunction with a printer, in order to certify, using a slip, the result of the test preformed. The printer is mainly used to check gas detection probes, for pressuregauges and to issue the declaration of conformity.BEINAT S.r.l. adopted this type of thermal printer as an innovativesolution compared to the systems that use an impact-based system. Theelegant design, dimensions, and small weight, together with its flexibilitymake this printer a useful working tool.

The printer can be interfaced with serial RS232 and IRDA transmission, and it is ideal to print the system control and verification report, thus self-certifying your own work. The size and weight are extremely small. The automatic paper-load with “six-load” system is patented. Moreover,it is complete with paper-out sensor.
