GUIDE TO HOLIDAY
A WORD FROM THE FOUNDERSSomehow, unexpectedly as always, the holidays are upon us again. (Wasn’t it just Labor Day? Where has the year gone?) From peppermint mochas to twinkle lights, cozy mittens to window displays we love all things that come with the season.
This holiday season swung in with turkey and stuffing over the Thanksgiving weekend and won’t slow down until the last sip of New Year’s champagne has been drunk. And in those six-ish weeks there are approximately one million office parties, client celebrations, secret santa swaps, family get-togethers, and more - so you better get your party wardrobe in line quick! Check out our guide to festive dressing for some sparkly inspiration.
We think you’ll love our suggestions for some stand-out gifts for all of those hard-to-shop-for friends and family members. And if throwing a festive dinner party has you frozen in fear, keep breathing, grab a cocktail, and page over to Kate’s super-easy ideas for becoming the hostess with the mostess.
We are also thrilled to unveil Quincy’s Holiday collection with some truly festive dresses and jackets for this jubilant season. Exposed zippers, thoughtfully-placed pockets, and our perfect shade of Quincy Fuchsia are just a few of our favorite things this December.
We always love to hear from our customers so drop up us a line sometime! Email us at [email protected] or tweet at @QuincyApparel.

QUINCY HOLIDAY 2012
PEACE ON EARTHPeace on earth, good will towards men is something we can all agree on. Host a dinner party to raise funds or collect supplies for those who may not be as fortunate not just during the holiday season, but all year long. Organizations like Toys for Tots and the Wounded Warrior Project are worthy and wonderful causes. We here in NYC are particularly passionate about helping our fellow New Yorkers affected by Hurricane Sandy. Donate your time, effort or money to All Hands Volunteers or City Harvest.
DECK THE HALLSThis party packs some two-in-one punch: decorate your apartment for the holidays and get in the spirit of the season while having a good time with friends! Pull out or purchase some holiday décor like metallic garlands, lights, stockings, bows and candles. Trim the tree with ornaments and popcorn or cranberry garlands across the boughs. You can all rock around the Christmas tree to Quincy’s favorite songs. Warm up your guests with a hot chocolate and eggnog bar including the works – marshmallows, candy canes, chocolate crunch bits and whipped cream.
GIFT WRAPPINGOne of the most tedious chores of the holiday season is wrapping presents. Make merry the task and in-vite a group of friends over to make it a team effort! Host a relaxed evening and ask that each friend bring tape, scissors, 2 rolls of wrapping paper and 3 types of bows or ribbon to share and swap. Screen holiday movie favorites like Love Actually, Elf and Miracle on 34th Street, order some takeout, and let the good times roll.
WINTER WONDERFULOn December 21st celebrate Winter Solstice and the essence of the season by turning your apartment into a winter wonderland – cover the walls with white or light blue metallic paper, scatter homemade snow-flakes and have your guests dress all in white. Serve hors d’oeuvres like toasted pepperoni and asiago pinwheels, sweet potato gaufrettes and for dessert, toasted marshmallow shakes.
