Introduction
In order to start to survive in Kingdoms of Camelot (KoC), you need to be
willing to use the available scripts for the game.
The primary scripts that are required are the KoC Bot, KoC Tools and the
KoC Throne Room & Champ Organizer. Optionally, but highly
recommended you can use Battle Dashboard as well.
PLS Note, that in the near future, BOT, TOOLS & Battle DashBoard will
be available in 1 script. A so called AIO ( All in One)
Below a preview of the new enhanced configurable quick march tab of the
AIO. ( Not released yet, subject to change)
This guide will cover the installation and basic configuration of the scripts
to help you get started in the game and get you started.
All of this guide is based off the prerequisite that you have Firefox installed
or a Firefox clone or offspring like Cometbird, Palemoon etc.
All version of FF ( and other browsers you can find on oldapps.com)
http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php
I personally use version 29.0 and lock it so it doesn’t update to latest version.
You can goto version 31.0 without any problems. Version 29 is
recommended by Barbarossa69 for his scripts.
Goto Tools Tab in YOUR BROWSER and Select OPTIONS, you get a pop-
up as you can see below.
Goto ADVANCED tab in this pop up.
Select Never check for updates, this way your browser STAYS on the
version selected & Installed.
Step 1: Install GreaseMonkey
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/?page=1#version-1.15
Install version 1.15.1
Once installed it will turn up in Extensions,
Once it is installed, you need to restart firefox.( or FF based equivalent)
You can confirm it is installed in firefox by going to the Tools -> Add-Ons menu. Then
click Extensions side tab. You will see Greasemonkey listed now.
Click the more tab.
Select OFF, so greasemonkey wont update and stay on verion 1.15.1 (Important!)
Step 2: Install KoC Power Bot
Go to: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/892-koc-
power-bot
Click on “install this script” link to install
The open up a pop-up asking if you want to trust the source and install.
After install refresh via F5
Step 3: Install KoC Tools
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/893-koc-power-tools
Click “Install this script” Then
click install when the popup
shows.
After install refresh via f5
Step 4: Install Throne Room & Champ Organizer
Click Install (Green box) and after install refresh via F5
Step 5: Install KoC Battle Console ( Optional)
Click Install (Green box)
This script has its own guide, you can download it here :
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/battle-dashboard-tutorial
Step 6: You have now the scripts installed.
You can check that via add-ons manager, should give you as above
All scripts can be found on GreasyFork.org
Step 7: Login to the game.
Go to KoC, through either Facebook, or kabam.
Step 8: Configure BOT
When you start off, the game will be centered in the middle of your browser,
and you will see new Tabs at the top.
Could look similar to this:
Click the “BOT” tab
Then click the Options tab. I have included screenshots of my general
settings:
Select all the relevant options for you as indicated here.
Do not select the last 2 options here above, do AFK events/ post missed and expired
marches.
Select, refresh Koc every XXX minutes. I selected 150 minutes for scouting a province,
but when not scouting I remove the 0 so it normally refreshes every 15 minutes.
Select what suits you.
Be wise as well on the food alert, if you set it too high you can clutter up alliance chat.
The auto select city on start up, should be your attack city, or the city you use the most.
In my case that is Aegisir ( city 1)
In the next section , tick the relevant options, great for clearing your reports.
Show tile levels , is good to check for Mercenary events to level of merc camps and
maybe even for the Upcoming feature Nomad Camps.
Outline city tabs will give you a blue outline when a city is NOT defending and a
red outline when defending.
For configuring the game views, you can review this guide as well:
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/game-view-with-dashboard-battle-
monitor-more
Click on the BOT tab again, we will now start configuring the most
important pieces:
Step 9: Configure BOT - Tower Tab
Fill out the options you want to use for the tower.
Tower alerts part is rather self explaining, you can untick cities if you don’t want
alerts.
The Setup part I have all ticked, except the email alert.
The Action part, is clear, and it is perfect if you wan to change your preset from an
AFK or Training preset to a defending preset or another good option is a preset with
HIGH load debuff. ( 10k -15k)
For a usefull guide about an AFK preset with load debuff you can read
here:
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/afk-throne-room-load-debuff
Step 10: Configure BOT - Build Tab
Building Tab lets you queue your builds easily. Per city to standard
level 9, but you can choose the higher levels as well.
-Ask for help needs to be ticked to get build help from Alliance.
-Use both build queues needs to be ticked if you are a Round Table Member
to benefit from 2 building queues simultaneously.
-Just make sure that you are close or have reached the cap on construction
speed (600) so you can build as quickly as possible.
And your building will progress till the queues are finished.
Step 11: Configure BOT - Craft Tab
Click on Craft Tab
Click “Crafting” button until it says “Crafting = ON”
Enter quantity and click “Save Settings”
If you have a lot of speed ups you can make for example Lesser Lucky
Tokens very quickly by using auto speed ups. Recipe for LLT is with full
crafting speed around 1 hour so a Guinevere’s hourglass (1hr) makes it
instant. Only tick that if you want that option.
You should be cresting base ingredients NON STOP , like Ohrstone, Flax
wings, Keterstone, Bloodstone.
You should be Crafting ;
Protection Stones
Lesser Lucky Tokens
Journymans
Horn of Plenty
Blood fury
Stoneskin
Red Dragon Wings
Step 12: Configure BOT - Reassign Tab
Reassign will help moving troops when Ascension Protection is up and you
need to move them to the new AP city. Or as an automated function to
reassign trained troops to your AP city. The top is rather self-explaining.
Click the city where the troops are coming from and select the city where
they are going to.
Select the troops you want to keep, either as 0 or a fixed amount ( like always
500k wagons and everything over that reassign to city X)
Then Click “ add reassign route”
In Show routes you can see what you are moving and to where.
In this case all troops are selected and are moving from city 1 to city 8.
- If you have reassign on 0 minutes, it will be blazing fast but with large
troop quantities you may end up with Captcha. If the numbers are
reasonable, you can try on 0 minutes or 1 minute.
- If you have a lot of troops to move you may consider activating 1 of
the 2 Auras available that increase the maximum numbers of troops
per march, either by 15% or 30% for 1 hour. It really makes a
difference.
- If your AP city for example is ( always) a FEY you can also use the
blessing “ Fill the ranks” giving your RP a permanent additional 10%
increase. In the end it all adds up, and more troops being moved per
march shortens the overall reassign time considerably. 40% increase (
Dominion + Blessing) you can have guaranteed by doing as described
above.
Step 13: Configure BOT - Search Tab
Perhaps one of the most used tabs, for active players. Searching …
With searching, you search per province or Radius or a piece of a province.
Search tab allows you to look for Cities, Barb Camps or Wilds.
In this case , the province Tintagel is being searched for Misted cities.
Additionally you can tick more options like, Hostile, Friendly, Allied,
Neutral, Un-allianced or all.
When searching is done, click and you get a pop –up.
Select the city you want to scout from, Tick “skip targets when errors occur”
Tick the top part to select all cords to scout.
Scouts will run till the list is finished. Note, set refresh rate of game at 1hour
or more, to avoid a refresh and not finishing the scouting of the province.
This option functions well, and you can
tick it while searching and scouts will be sent straight away, but with lot of
mists or doing for a while it will give you Captcha very quickly.
You can also look for Barbarian camps in radius or province and you can
select which levels to look for.
Also wilds can be searched and in addition, Dark forests and Nomad &Merc
camps (when live). It’s really useful for finding all higher level DF in a
Province or an adjacent Province. When you are in need for Astones for
example.
Powerful tab with lots of options that works as a Golden Retriever on
steroids.
Step 14: Configure BOT - Attack Tab
Find yourself a level 8 or above barb
camp to crest on Fill out the information,
click Add Attack.
You can confirm the attack by clicking
show targets Turn the Crest = ON
The more you crest, the more TR items you will find, and the more
aetherstone you will collect.
You can enter several Barb Camps as Targets, preferably several and
different levels. For example an Barb Camp level 8 + 9 + 10.
Attacking several targets, increases your chances of finding TR items
& other goodies, so do so pls.
If you want to crest the barbarian camps 11-15 you can review the
following tutorial.
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/spell-caster-cresting
Step 15: Configure BOT - Transport Tab
I setup my transports to move resources from cities to AP City
City 1-7 has a minimum set ( keep value ) that is just below storehouse level. Even if
they are attacked, they are safe and if they are training then make sure you have
“reverse transport” activated. This ensures , that if a city uses resources, they will get
replenished from your AP city.
NOTE: Keep your Ore numbers below your max – or you will stop the cities from
producing! (stone too) This is if you are producing ore and stone.
Step 16: Configure BOT - Raid Tab
Makes sure its activated to reset the raid clock automatically.
Additionally if you wish to receive a report in a selected timeframe then
tick send raid report every xx. Where xx is the time frame you choose.
Step 17: Configure BOT - Train Tab
Setup the troops you want to train in each city ( also depending on city type)
Step 18: Configure BOT - Dark Forest Tab
Select the city you want to DF from and activate the levels you wish to
attack.
Select the options as above, important is the max search distance, set it 75
and not 40 ( default)
As you see I use scouts for all levels. You can set of course to preference
you want.
You can also review REVISED Dark Forest tutorial here:
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/revised-dark-forests-guide-
levels-115
Step 19: Configure BOT - Apothecary Tab
Reviving troops can be set here to continuously revive troops.
Personally I do not use this tab. I only revive certain troops and I do not have
legendary hourglasses anymore.
Using this tutorial if you have really big batches of troops to revive is
certainly helpful as well.
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/max-reviving-of-troops
Step 20: Configure BOT - Spam Tab
You can Post a message in Alliance Chat , to remind your members of
something important. Bank Cords, Protected Wild Cords for storage, etc
Handy for Officers, VC’s and Chancellors.
Of course you can also Advertise in Global for your Alliance, to join or else.
Although I find that this function gets mostly abused with insulting or
taunting messages.
Step 21: Configure BOT – Farm Tab
An automated farming function is available also, where after searching on
certain criteria a list is compiled that ,is attacked automatically with set
troops. You can set inactivity of your “farms” etc.
Personally, I do not use this function either. I have some objections against
it. Some that use it, let it run, but are not at the PC and they get also looted
a lot because they are not there to defend what they farm.
Also, I think you should “Farm with care” and not only inactive or small
players.
Step 22: Configure BOT - Population Tab
A very useful function described more in detail in this tutorial.
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/training-of-troops
Step 23: Configure BOT - Inventory Tab
Useful option to use to see what you have in inventory and release / use
several items at once.
Step 24: Configure BOT - Whisper Tab
All whispers get logged, and in case you have missed them you can review
here.
Step 25: Configure BOT - Gift Tab
Set who you want to gift daily, all automated
Step 26: Configure BOT - Nomads Tab
To better explain this tab, Have a look at this tutorial
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/nomad-camps
Step 27: Configure BOT – Start-Up Tab
To Quickly build up a city and add the buildings to Building Queue.
Step 28: Configure BOT - Scout Tab
You can read the minitutorial here:
http://www.slideshare.net/Aderik/how-to-scout-with-bot-in-kingdoms-of-
camelot
That concludes the basics with the Power Bot. Explore the rest of the tabs,
and talk to your alliance members if something is unclear or how they have
set certain options.
Step 29: Configure TOOLS Click the TOOLS tab at the top of the screen. The tools window pops up.
Then click Options in the tools window.
Below are my preferred settings for the options:
Important, set the time you want your alert for when ascension is running
out. . The city where AP
is running out will turn Amber.
Follow the settings or use it as guidance Most Options are very self-
explaining.
Disable Multi-Browser check v2 (experimental), activate this in order to not
get the warning, you have koc open in multiple windows.
And uncheck, refresh data/marches every 3 minutes.
There is no need to change anything here , unless you want to, but certainly
very self-explanatory if you want to activate or deactivate an option.
Step 30: Configure TOOLS - Overview TAB
The overview tab has 5 sub tabs giving you general information about your
cities, resources ,troops & buildings.
In yellow , the total of all your cities resources are combined.
Same for your troop totals in
yellow for all cities combined.
Step 31: Configure TOOLS - Overview -The Resource sub tab
Gives a lot of info about, upkeep, wilds you have, current boosts etc.
Step 32: Configure TOOLS - Overview -Troop sub tab
Gives the totals, the troops per cities, and the amount of knights assigned to
a city.
Step 33: Configure TOOLS - Overview -Building sub tab
Lists the buildings per city , the levels, the field & wall defenses including
all researches of alchemy lab & Briton workshop.
Step 34: Configure TOOLS - Overview -Info Tab
Gives access to useful links, Crest info, Unit information etc.
Step 35: Configure TOOLS - Train Tab
You have the option to train here manually a batch ( auto training in bot is
also available). Use workers takes workers away from fields in training and makes
them available for training troops. ( no or less production then)
Step 36: Configure TOOLS - March TAB
It’s perfect for re-assigning quickly troops from your AP city to your
ATTACK city
You can also LOOT targets from this tab, don’t forget to check auto
select knight and champ on top.
1 Tick auto select knights, so a knight will be sent out with the attack.
2 Tick select champion, so he will be sent out too in the attack waves
3 If you want you can select the spell, life spell for a Fey city
4 Enter the cords of the target you will be attacking or looting.
5 Here you can select the troops that you want to send to target, all
waves will be identical, this depending of course if you have sufficient
troops.
6 Click ATTACK button to start your wave, wait 2 secs and click again
to launch next wave.
1 2 3
4 6
5
And this is how you can send very quickly, a lot of waves to a target,
faster then you can do manually.
If the lauch of the attack was successful, you will see the attack successful
message
Just don’t forget to unselect the option auto select knights when re-
assigning troops , otherwise you are moving your knights too..( speak
from experience )
Step 37: Configure TOOLS - Alliance TAB
You can list your alliance members here, on name, might, cities, position,
days in position , etc. Giving you results like below.
Providing you with useful information about your members etc.
You can also list your diplomacies, as shown below,
This gives you much more information then the supplied Game tab.
*Note the friendlies have been “removed” as I used my own alliance info. ;)
Pushing that symbol, gives straight access to info on KocMon, of
that alliance.
Another useful option is to activate membership monitor.
Whenever a member of your Alliance, leaves or a member Joins, you get an
in game message. Like this,
Configurable to , every 1 hour, 6, 12, 24 etc.
Step 38: Configure TOOLS - Tournament Tab
Gives you the data about your ranking in a tournament, if a tournament is
active.
And also time remaining in Tournament ( countdown).
Furthermore it gives you the difference ( amount) between every member
listed below and above you. Making it easier to calculate , how much might
you have to put on to overtake the ones above your , or stay ahead of the
persons below you.
Step 39: Configure TOOLS - Wilds Tab
Gives you the the information, which wilds you own , location and what
type & level. You can easily abandon or set defenses.
Step 40: Configure TOOLS - Tower Tab
Normally 1 VC or member that has PC on 24/7 , activates this option.
It will post a report in alliance chat , if a city was scouted or attacked , set
on the minimal troops set in scanner.
Reminder, only 1 person needs to run this in alliance, otherwise you get
double postings of the same reports
Step 41: Configure TOOLS - KNIGHTS TAB
Add quickly Skillpoints to any Knight, of course you should reach for
Knights used on Attack & Marshalls, the CAP of 300 as quickly as possible.
Knights that you assign a role, as Foreman, Alchemist, Steward & Marshall,
should be maxed out.
After that you can assign extra skill points over all 4 roles , making Knights
multifunctional & assignable to any role.
Step 42: Configure TOOLS - Player Tab
You can do 2 things here, look up players, or alliances.
When you type a player this is the basic info you get.
Clicking the 1st option, member details, gives you the details of how many
cities a player has and where they are located. This is useful when a player
has ported away, and you know which city it is they ported. You can check
here ( instantly) to which province it has ported to.
Clicking the 2nd option , Leaderboard, gives you information, about the
players Alliance, What your alliance Diplomacy is towards that alliance, the
last login and if the person is misted. ( In this case the player is misted and
city locations are not revealed)
You can see also the Champions that player has, by clicking view
champions.
Note1 : If the player is misted or under protection, it will not show
champs.
Note2 : If a Player has 1 champ, it will only show 1 champ. Or 2
Champs, 3 Champs or 4 Champs.
The buttons shown here will compare & calculate the TR vs TR. Meaning,
Your TR vs the player you are looking up. You can compare for example if
an opponent uses a TR a lot on defense; if your TR will hold up against
theirs if you will battle that player. Its intelligence gathering, checking a
player out for a period of time to discover weaknesses or else. Comparing
TR’s etc. It’s not in the heat of battle thing. The Monitor button will pull up
the Battle Monitor of Dashboard.
IF a player is NOT Misted, city locations are revealed.
If a city is under Ascension Protection it will tell the time left.
It will show you the cities Factions, Fey, Briton, Druid and the city level.
City Names and the distance to that city ( compared to your city) is given.
Clicking Last login, will give you , as it says, the last login of that player.
( This is not 100% accurate, because you can manipulate your last login as
a player via a small trick if you play on/via Kabam.com. In order to do so ,
you would need to activate in Options in BOT, the following Option.)
This makes you show as offline, and last login becomes inaccurate.
By Clicking the Alliances tab , you can scroll trough the Alliances present
on your domain.
You can look up the members ( unmisted), view map or look that alliance
up on Kocmon. Also your current alliance diplomacy is shown. Beneficial
as well, is that you can easy change a Diplomacy from here too, and certainly
when the Alliance name is very difficult to type via the normal option in
game.
Setting Neutral, Hostile or Friendly , is easy, fast and after the confirmation
is given, the message is sent to the other alliance and your own.
( This option is only available for Officers, VC’s & Chancellor)
Selecting an Alliance and then members, gives you the option to scout all
visible ( thus unmisted) members in that alliance. ( By selecting the all
members option) After Selecting from which of YOUR Cities to scout, and
how many scouts you want to use. You Push the GO button and scouts will
be sent to all selected cities of that Alliance.
If you have a short Refresh time, and the game refreshes ( reloads) then this
above instruction is cancelled. So you have to set refresh at , 1 hour for
example.
This concludes the basics for the Tools tab. Play
with the other items in it. Ask your Alliance for
help if something is unclear.
Step 43: Configure - Throne Room & Champ Organizer. ( TRO)
Click on the blue Throne/Champ tab at the top of the screen.
This opens the organizer.
The Green tabs are for Throne room
The Magenta tabs are for champ
The Blue tabs for general options and info
Goto OPTIONS tab
You can remove tabs in the options tab. Giving you a leaner TRO.
Enable the options you need & want.
This the part in options where you can remove or add tabs as shown on
previous page.
If you play several domains you can import your settings from another
domain.
Select the options you need & want , some are very helpful.
Step 44: Configure TRO – Upgrade Tab
When you are upgrading or enhancing, you can boost / speed up the process with the
selection of speed-ups and boost items like protection stones, lucky tokens etc.
Step 45: Configure TRO –Salvage Tab
Next one along says keep the first XX items. This is how many cards the salvager will
not touch.
The next field is Define the TR items to keep:
I always leave the first drop down box faction as any, no matter what I am looking
for. This maximizes your chances to find a specific thing. The next field is card type.
This is very good for when you are looking for a specific item. You can pick, table,
chair, window etc here. Again, lets leave it as any. The next field is 1X, 2X, 3X,
4X,5X. This simply is the amount of a specific attribute you wish to find. So if we
were looking for 3 lines of defense we would select 3X, if we were looking for 5 lines
of defense we would select 5x, etc etc.
The next field is the attribute you wish to find. There is a BIG list of attributes for you
to chose from. I'll follow with a list of things we should be looking for in a minute.
The next field is either, buff, debuff. 9 times out of 10 we leave this as either, but
sometimes you need to get specific. Buff means positive attributes, things that add to
your own stats, debuff is something that takes away. For example, if we were looking
for life for our troops we would look for life buff; if we were looking to take life from
an opponent, we would look for life debuff.
The last field is slots. This is simply where you want to find an attribute. If you want
to find it line 5, you check only box 5; if you want to find it on lines 3,4, and 5, then
tick those 3 boxes.
Once you have set these up press salvager on at the top of the page. Congrats you are
now, cresting, finding cards, and should have a nice steady supply of Aether stone
coming into your cities.
Step 46: Configure TRO –Repair Tab
Step 47: Configure TRO –Organize Tab
Step 48: Configure TRO –Caps Tab
An easy tab to review the CAPS that are in place in the game for battle stats and peace
stats.
You can quickly view if for example you have reached the cap for upkeep reduction or
construction speed.
As a general note, always choose for General BUFFs and then top of with Specific
BUFFs.
In example, it is far much better to have MARCH SPEED at cap as this is a General
BUFF covering all Marches, thus Marching an attack from A to B, Re-assigning troops,
transports, Scouting, etc.
The specific speeds only cover 1 aspect, thus Attack march speed only will give you a
speed bonus if you March an attack, Scout speed bonus only applies to your scouts,
Re-assigning speed only covers that aspect.
Thus March Speed is better, as you can do more aspects with 1 boost equipped. It is
also easier to reach that cap in cards and adding jewels or replacing jewels to reach that
goal.
Step 49: Configure TRO –Upgrade Tab
Step 50: Configure TRO –Salvage Tab
Salvaging is setting RULES for items you want to KEEP or were looking
for, in this case for Champ items. It works the same as you saw earlier for
TR items
Step 51: Configure TRO –Organize Tab
Step 52: Configure TRO –Preview Tab
Step 53: Configure TRO –Log Tab
The LOG tab keeps track of all Items that have been upgraded and at which
time. Can/could be useful info for you , or not.
The option is there for you to use or not.
Step 54: Configure TRO –Jewels Tab
The Jewels Tab allows you to see your inventory on Jewels ( all levels) and
you can specify your parameter, like only looking for Bright or only look
for Subdued, or look for ALL.
Gives you a summary what you have and the quantities.
Pls Note, The MAXIMUM jewels you can hold per Jewel Stat is 150.
Everything over that is not registered
Realistically, you want BRIGHT jewels on ALL Cards , with SUBDUED
on 2nd place till you can replace those by BRIGHT too. It’s also good to
check if you have BRIGHT jewels on all cards. Sometimes people forget
that they used lower jewels early on in the game and never rectified that to
BRIGHT jewels. Check?
Step 55: Configure TRO –
Throne & Champ Presets (Tips& Tricks)
In order to do anything with your presets you must save and ideally name
them.
To do this click on Throne/Champ and select the green Presets button.
What to do here:
– Name and Save your presets (Naming is optional, but has it's benefits)
– When you're not naming your presets just click “Save all Preset Tags” or do so
after Naming them
– Show Might on posts can be disabled/enabled at will
– Show Preset Name on Posts can be disabled/enabled at will
Copying Presets:
To copy a preset from one slot to another, the preset MUST be saved
To do this open Throne/Champ and select the Preview button
Before you copy a TR it is recommended to stop your raids/cresting runs
and switch to the empty TR
What do to here:
– Switch to the (empty)slot you wish to copy an existing preset to
– Use the load TR Preset to select the preset/slot you wish to copy
(Pick slot before you click the “Load TR preview button)
– Use the Copy To “Preset Tag” to select the slot you wish to copy the
loaded Preset(Pick slot before clicking Copy To button)
– Click the Equip Now button and wait a few minutes while all cards
are being equipped
– You will get confirmation when done
Breaking Throne Room and Champ items:
For this we need to go back to the Presets tab (Green for TR , Pink for
Champion)
Scroll down the page till you see this:
Tagged Presets: Cards that are automatically “tagged” by saving the
preset
Regular Tagged: Card that are manually “tagged” inside the throne
room (click the card and click Tag Item, a good card to tag is your
increased city value advisor for ascension purposes)
Break Equipped Throne Only , you can break a single preset this way
but be cautioned, if you use a card in multiple presets, it will be
unequipped from any other set it was in, be sure to have alternative
cards
Break Tagged Preset Only: I'm not quite sure on this, I've not used the
feature as of yet
Break (Insert desired might you wish to lose) Throne Might will break
any card that is not equipped or tagged until it reaches the set amount.
Special Thanks To Mike Luijer for contributing step 55
: Sharing is knowledge, and a lot of players are not sharing.
Yes it gives you and edge, or advantage, but it leaves also many people
clueless. The objective of these tutorials, is to teach, learn, educate players
so ALL players have a better under understanding of the game. The more
players participate, the better the overall experience is for all players. More
attacking and defending means “lively” domains full of activity.
