Introduction LEVACO Chemicals

We are a leading manufacturer of dispersants, emulsifiers, wetting agents and anti-foaming agents. As a former part of the BAYER Group, we have more than 50 years of experience in the fields of textile auxiliaries, leather auxiliaries, paper auxili-aries, agrochemicals and specialities based on alko-xylation reactions. We also produce additional products on contractual basis at our production site in Leverkusen. LEVACO Chemicals is a member of the Diersch & Schröder Group.

We conduct a variety of chemical reactions at the LEVACO production site in Leverkusen. We have access to a wide range of raw materials. We are specialized in the following procedures, 24 h a day:

• Ethoxylation / Propoxylation• Condensation• Phosphatation / Sulphatation• Polymerization / Polyaddition• Quaternization

Chemical Solutions-Specialities

LEVACO produces a wide variety of additives for paints, varnishes, dyes, coatings and printing inks. In addition, we produce speciality chemicals for various industrial and chemical applications.

Our product range includes a wide selection of: Non-ionic and anionic wetting and dispersing agents for use in aqueous, universal and solventbased systems.

Anti-foaming agents and primers based on natural oils, mineral oils and silicones as well as oil-free products.

Rheology additives based on polyurethane, antista-tic agents, coupling agents, flash rust inhibitors, functional monomers and others.

On the following pages we are going to present a detailed overview about our selected focus products in the field of dispersing and wetting agents for paints, printing inks, varnishes, coatings and other industrial applications.

LUCRAMUL ® DA PRIME: THE ultimately cutting-edge dispersant agent

LUCRAMUL ® DA PRIME is a newly developed dispersing agent especially designed for the dispersion of a broad variety of organic pigments. The unique chemical structure of the product enables high loadings with good stability and fine particle size distributions and low viscosity profile. The product has also a good dispersion effect to selected carbon blacks and inorganic pigments. The product has a good compatibility towards other ingredients.

The unique chemical structure of LUCRAMUL ® DA PRIME provides strong interactions with the pigment surface and a good compatibility of the product as such. Combined with an active content of 100%, the product has a very universal application scope and can be used in various waterbased and solventbased pigment prepara-tions. LUCRAMUL ® DA PRIME has excellent wetting and dispersing abilities for a multitude of organic pigments, selected carbon blacks and also some effect and inorganic pigments.

LUCRAMUL ® DA PRIME is especially suitable as dispersant in pigment concentrates, interior and exterior paints, printing inks, varnishes and industrial paints & coatings. Its special design, composition and proprietary production process leads to a premium organic pigment dispersant, which can compete with the premium products in this sector on the market.

It is a cost-effective product for lower up to high performance applications, giving excellent results. Typical dosages are 3 – 15% additive active on pigment to obtain the best performance.
