GPL continues to offer three (3) investment options as part of its leading woodlot projects; short rotation eucalypt for pulpwood (13 years and located solely in Tasmania), a longer term (20 years) option involving the growing of high quality pruned hardwood for veneer and pulpwood production (Tasmania only), as well as a softwood sawlog regime (30 years) which will be grown in either Tasmania or the Green Triangle region of SA/Vic (from 2009 onwards).

All plantations grown on behalf of investors in GPL will be certified to the Australian

Forestry Standard, so that investors can be assured that their investment is being managed to the highest environmental, social and economic standard.

The first harvest of plantations owned by investors in GPL commenced in 2008 with the thinning of Woodlot Project 2000 (Planting Options 1 and 2). “The trees are growing well in excess of the original Prospectus forecasts which is great news for investors in that project and is a testament to the quality of the site selection and management,” says Ian Blanden, Manager of Gunns Plantations Ltd.GUNNS PLANTATIONS LIMITed

Quality market solutions and best practice management resulting in Australia’s premier agribusiness investments

WIneGPL offered its first winegrape project in 2004, capitalising on the strength of Tasmania’s clean and green environment to produce ultra-premium cool climate wines. Investors in GPL winegrape projects benefit from off-take agreements for their grapes with Tamar Ridge estates, a wholly-owned division of Gunns Limited.

Led by world renowned winemaker Andrew Pirie and internationally acclaimed viticulturist Richard Smart, Tamar Ridge now exports premium wines to the UK, US, denmark, Germany, Japan, Singapore and around Australia.

Its portfolio of labels include; Tamar Ridge, devils Corner, Pirie Tasmania, South, Coombend, Rosevears and Notley Gorge.

Harvests of Grower’s winegrapes first commenced in the 2007 vintage and now comprise an important part of Tamar Ridge’s fruit supply.

WalnutsGunns Limited has established a 1300 hectare walnut orchard on two sites in the Riverina district of New South Wales on behalf of investors in GPL’s Walnut Projects.

The orchards are managed by Webster Limited, Australia’s largest commercial walnut grower. Webster has been managing walnut orchards for over 15 years and markets fresh produce throughout europe and Asia to countries such as Germany, France, Sweden, UK, Japan and Taiwan.

Global demand for walnuts continues to grow based on the health benefits of eating nuts, in particular walnuts. Total global exports of walnuts in 2003 were US$538 million.

The Riverina has soils and climate similar to California – the world’s largest exporter of walnuts – and there is high quality irrigation water available for the project in the form of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme. The region is widely known as one of the most reliable sources of irrigation water in Australia.
