St. Paul's Bay (San Pawl il-Bahar in Maltese), traditionally a small fishing village, is surrounded by Maltese countryside and the sea. It has become a popular bay for boat enthusiasts, divers and swimmers alike, and is close to the largest and best sandy beaches in Malta.

Kids Club Mini Group
Kids Club Mini Group is a fun course emphasising spoken and communicative activities based on key topics such as pets, clothes, jobs, the environment, colours, numbers and the alphabet. New language, vocabulary and everyday English are introduced to this small group through storytelling, singing songs and nursery rhymes, colouring, drawing, arts and crafts and other imaginative exercises.
Interactive whiteboards are used to encourage real communication and rapid learning. More focus is made on the visual, aural and oral skills rather than on the written aspect of the language as at this age they might still be unable to read or write.

Our bright and colourful Child Activity Centre, set-up with pictures, charts and a ‘school shop’, provides a stimulating background for our Pre-Teens to work on projects and posters, display their own handcrafts, take part in role plays, sing songs and listen to stories. These activities are used to introduce new vocabulary, everyday English, pronunciation and basic grammar that help to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English.

Teen Explorer Mini Group
This practice-oriented and conversation based Teen Explorer Course is held in small groups outside the school. Conducting interviews, surveying people, ordering snacks and drinks, swimming and enjoying English outdoors are just some of the many practical interactive tasks included in this exciting programme.
All sessions are professionally organised by our fully-qualified teachers and focus on guiding students towards using correct grammatical structures, vocabulary and improving pronunciation and listen-ing skills in a relaxed environment. A small group makes it easier for the teacher to concentrate on the student’s individual needs.
Teen Tuition
Consisting of 20 lessons per week, Teen Tuition is communication based and designed to increase our students’ confidence and fluency by using English in everyday situations and ultimately assisting in their English studies.
Our teachers, trained specifically for this age group, use tailor made teaching material using IWBs to make learning fun. Grammar and vocabulary are focused on by using Internet, teamwork and competi-tions. The most important 4 skills of speaking, listen-ing, reading and writing are enhanced through the interaction with other teenagers from around the world, through discussion and debating topics such as famous personalities, hobbies and sports.

Beginner’s Course
This course consists of 4 private lessons per day and is perfect for those students who have little or no knowledge of English and require initial guidance into the language. New grammar, vocabulary and all language skills are introduced at the student’s own pace to increase confidence and to encourage the student to continue learning English.
Communicative English
This course is ideal for students wishing to practise their conversational skills and expand their vocabulary without focusing specifically on grammar.
General English
This course aims at developing general English skills needed by students for everyday situations for work, study or travel. Grammar and language structure, speaking and listening, reading and writing, vocabulary and conversational skills are the key elements that make up this very popular course.
Interactive whiteboards are used throughout this course, bringing the fun back into learning. Specially designed material is prepared for this course, planned around relevant topics, exercises, images and instantly downloadable ‘real life’ video clips.
Intensive General English
In addition to the General English course, students who follow this intensive option are offered two additional lessons per day dedicated to oral fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary building and listening practice in order to improve their confidence in all areas of the English language. Students are also encouraged to discuss and debate a wide range of topics. The aim of this course is to help students to communicate, and emphasis is placed on encouraging fluency.
Academic Year
Academic Year consists of a minimum of 20 weeks, offering students the opportunity to choose between 10, 20 or 30 lessons per week to increase their overall fluency and understanding of English. Students are able to make new friends from all over the world and improve their career prospects. Academic Year is steadily becoming a more popular course and is the most value for money course.

Semi-Private is a course where two students of the same level of English require lessons together.
Both courses cover all subjects from General English, Business English, through to ESP and are available to all ages and levels and can also be combined with other courses.

Cambridge Exams are offered at 5 different levels:

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is ideal for students who intend to study or work abroad where English is the language of communication. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking.
This qualification is widely accepted as an entrance require-ment by most Australian, British, Canadian, Maltese and New Zealand academic institutions/universities. Govern-ment agencies and professional organisations often require IELTS scores as a trusted and valid indicator of one’s ability to communicate in English.
TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English when planning to study at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. In addition, many places of employment, government agen-cies, scholarship programmes, and licensing/ certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency.
Abiturvorbereitung / Baccalaureate / Academic English for Entry into College or University
This course is ideal for those students who need that extra help in English grammar and language to pass their impor-tant English exam in their own country. English Literature is not part of the course.

GV Malta offers training programmes for teachers as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme for European co-operation in the field of education and training. (Comenius/Grundtvig training grants).
1. English in the Primary Classroom2. English in the Secondary and Adult Classroom
The training is in Language Teaching Methodology and courses are designed for non-native teachers of English in the primary, secondary and adult education sectors and delivered on interactive whiteboards.
Teachers will be able to:
• Use different strategies to accommodate different learning styles• Motivate and encourage students• Integrate the teaching of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking skills• Create activities to make grammar and vocabulary learning more memorable• Focus on the teaching of pronunciation
Personal language development is an important feature of the courses and will be based on participants’ needs. Practical and creative teaching techniques will be presented using a range of teaching methodologies.
Teachers will try out new techniques and strategies including using interactive whiteboards and give feedback as to how these techniques can be applied to their own teaching situations.
A certificate of attendance will be awarded to each participant at the end of the course.
Two unforgettable weeks at GV Malta - two weeks in which I learned a lot and was on holiday at the same time. Coming together with interesting people from all over Europe I improved my language, got new ideas for teaching my students at home and really enjoyed the Maltese way of life. It was always fun having the lessons at GV Malta, as the teachers were excellent and it was a very friendly and encouraging atmosphere throughout the whole class. So the mornings went by quickly and there was enough time to explore the many sights Malta has to offer. Full Day Comino Cruise
This low-cost, full day cruise goes to the Island of Comino and the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon. Students will cruise past St. Paul’s Island, where St. Paul was shipwrecked in 60 A.D. The rest of the day is spent, relaxing, sunbathing or swimming off the boat or going ashore.
Horse Riding
Horse riding for beginners and experienced riders is available for our students. Our friendly and lovable horses will tracks along the coast, overlooking two of the most popular beaches in Malta. All rides are accompanied by a qualified instructor.
Diving
Students can dive in some of the clearest and best waters in the Mediterranean with professional PADI Qualified instructors and view colourful coral and fish, visit old WWII shipwrecks, under-water caves, and so much more.
