Objectives

• Provide full compatibility to STANAG 5516 (Edition 5), STANAG 5511 (Edition 7), and STANAG 5616 (Edition 5) , including related Data Link Change Proposals (DLCPs -Foxtrot versions) to be interoperable with other NATO and national data link systems

• Provide cost effective Link 11 / Link 16 (Link 22 in near future) tactical data link capability to new systems

• Provide Link 11 / Link 16 (Link 22 in near future) tactical data link capability to legacy systems (modernization projects) with minimum or no modification,

• Support network centric operations via data forwarding capability.

Features

• Provides a gateway to transfer Link 16 information to Legacy C2 Systems with Link 11 data structures in order to provide integration with minimum change to the existing system,

• Provides HMI capability so that operators can fully utilize the Link 11 and Link 16 functionalities,

• Uses a scalable, flexible and expandable architecture so that it can be easily tailored for tactical data link needs of platforms in various environments with different duties,

• Uses MilSOFT middleware based on latest standards such as Data Distribution Services (DDS) recommended by Open Architecture Computing Environment (OACE).
