A traditional Russian variety. Compact plant with silver-
grey foliage reminiscent of carrot tops. Great for hanging

Originally from Czechoslovakia, this little red tomato is
one of the first to ripen and yields until frost. Produces an

cosmonaut Volkov(65 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATED
Hails from the Ukraine and named for the famous
Russian cosmonaut who perished while landing. Bears
slightly flattened, round red fruits, prized by Russian
gardeners. A great complex flavor; nice acid-sweet

Black Prince (72-75 days) Open Pollinated
Originally from Irkutsk, Siberia, an early and solid
producer of deep brownish-black 3-5 oz tomatoes. The
color will be more pronounced in sunnier areas. Great
tasting, with a rich, sweet tomato flavor. One of my
personal favorites. Indeterminate. Seed source: Fedco
Green Zebra (72-75 days) Open Pollinated
A beautiful and delicious tomato, a favorite amongst chefs
and foodies alike. Chartreuse with lime green stripes
makes Green Zebra a truly striking tomato. Flesh is brigh
green, with a rich sweet, complex flavor that has a bite.
Another one of my all time favorites. Not to be missed!

RED PEAR (70-75 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATED
An old northern Italian variety, specially selected by the
famous Italian seed company Franchi Sementi. Known for
it's outstanding production of large, ribbed, red, pear
shaped fruits, ranging in weight from 8-18 oz. Great
tasting, meaty with few seeds. Ripens very early for a

Jaune Flamme (75 days) Open Pollinated
A delicious apricot colored French heirloom originally
from Helliner, France. Great tangy, fruity flavor. 2-3 oz

A new variety bred by Oregon State University. Beautiful

Ananas Noir (80 days) Open Pollinated
Unique tomato developed by a Belgium horticulturist.
Mulit-colored (green, yellow, & purple) fruit with bright
green flesh with red streaks. Sweet smoky flavor, with a
hint of citrus. Abundant yields. Indeterminate. Seedsource:B.C.
DR. WYCHE (80 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATEDGolden yellow fruits averaging a 1 lb each. Named after
the late Dr. John Wyche, the former owner of Cole
Brother's Circus, who used elephant manure to fertilize
his vegetable gardens. Perhaps explaining the heavy
yields and large size of these delicious tomatoes.

Cherokee purple (75-90 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATED
Originally cultivated by the Native American tribe from
which it derives it's name, this dusky purple-pink tomato
is a much cherished variety on the East coast, and is
gaining popularity here. I have seen people line up 30
minutes before the market opened in Washington D.C. to
ensure they were able to get their hands on one of these

Paul Robeson (78-90 days) Open Pollinated
This tomato has almost a cult following amongst seed
savers and tomato enthusiasts. This Russian Heirloom
was first made available by a Moscow seeds woman, who
lovingly named the tomato after the world renown black
Russian opera singer and equal rights advocate. The
beautiful 7-10 oz fruits are brick-black red with green
shoulders and deep red flesh in the center. Outstanding

Pink Brandywine(80-90 days) Open Pollinated
The most popular of all Heirloom tomato
varieties, considered to be the measuring stick for real
tomato flavor. Rumored to be of Amish origins, the large
fruits, 12oz to 2lbs, in some cases, have rich, succulent
tomato flavor with creamy flesh. The plants are vigorous,
sprawling, and grow well in cool weather. Potato leafed

Zapotec Pleated (80-90 days) Open Pollinated
Rare heirloom variety from the Zapotec people of
Southern Mexico. Deeply pleated 6-8oz pink fruits have
rich and earthy flavor. A favorite of many of my
customers at the farmers market, mine included! Grows
great in the Walla Walla Valley, strong producer.

Marvel Stripped (90-110 days) Open Pollinated
Another rare heirloom from the Zapotec people of Oaxaca
Mexico. Beautiful lobbed, bi-colored tomato; yellow, with
red blush at blossom end. Sweet and juicy. Few seeds.

Heavy producer of 1 to 1.5 oz fruits. Dark purple hue, and

A hybrid version of the Sweet 100 that is more disease
resistant, this a cherry tomato that is beloved by
gardeners. Sweet tasting and productive through out the

Chadwick Cherry (80-90 days) Open Pollinated
Selection from the late horticultural genius, Alan
Chadwick. A large red cherry tomato with great flavor.
Vigorous plants are extremely productive and disease

Blondekopfchen (75-80 days) Open Pollinated
The name literally translates into little blonde girl,
this East German heirloom has small golden 1 fruits
borne in large clusters. Wonderful sweet taste. Huge
yields that bear until frost. Rarely a cracked fruit.

Sweet Pea Currant (75-80 days) Open Pollinated
Great red currant tomato. Incredibly productive, bearing
hundreds of tiny fruits per plant. Seed Savers Exchange
proclaims this variety to have "excellent tomato flavor
with a hint of wine." It should feel right at home here in
our wine producing valley! Vigorous spreading growth

Sun Gold (57 days) Hybrid
Great fruity, sweet flavor. Tangerine-orange fruits, bear

A famous Italian heirloom known for sun drying. Fruitsare 1-2 inches, few seeds, with a rich tomato taste.

Black Plum (80 days) Open PollinatedBringing one of my favorite varieties back this year, Gypsy
Sally's is proud to offer this delicious and extremely
productive plum tomato. A Russian heirloom from
seedswoman Marina Danilenko, these 2" oval, mahagony
skinned fruits are not to be missed! Great for sauce, salsa

POLISH LINGUISA(73 days) open pollinated
A large, great tasting paste tomato brought to New York
City in the 1800's by Polish gardeners. Sweet flavor, 2"
diameter, sasauge shaped fruits. Great for canning,
freezing, sauces, and fresh eatting. Variety was
recommended to me by the owner of an upscale

TOMATILLO
Tomatillo verde (60-80 days) open pollinated
Used in Salsas, helps tone down hotness of chiles and
blends flavors. Fruits are ready for harvest when papery
husk splits. Seed source: Fedco
SWEET PEPPERS
Topepo Rosso (55 days green,70 days red) open pollinate
A 2.5-3 inch heirloom pimento type pepper that resemble
a bright red tomato with slight ribbing. Hence the name
"Topepo!" Thicker, sweeter, and earlier maturing then
most bell peppers. I have grown these pimento type
varities on the farm, and they always produced well.

king of the north (70 days) open Pollinated
Recommend by Seed Savers Exchange to be the best bell
pepper for northern climates, with cool, short summers.
Due to the lack of heat, the past two growing seasons, this
pepper may be a good choice to add to the garden this

California Wonder bell--Red (70 days green, 85days red) open Pollinated
Classic red bell pepper grown since 1928. Good yields and

Corno di toro (80 days) open Pollinated
Large 6- 10" stuffing pepper, maturing to either yellow or
red. Beautiful, productive, and great flavor. Great fresh,
roasted, or stuffed. An American version of it's Italian

CORNO DI TORO ROSSO
(60 days green, 75-80 days yellow) open pollinated
A wonderful Italian sweet stuffing pepper; one of the
largest. Great fresh or roasted. Stunning red when ripe.
Long, tapered, non-bell shaped 6-8 fruits. Grows well in

Corno di toro Giallo (60 days green, 75-80 daysyellow) open pollinated
A brillant yellow thicked walled, thin skinned Italian
pepper great for fying, stuffing, and roasting. Name mean
"Yellow horn of the bull." Heavy yields. Seed source: S.O.I.
Nardello Sweet (75-80 days) open pollinated
A treasured Italian heirloom brought to the U.S. by the
Nardello family in 1887. Great for fresh eating, and one of
the best for frying. Red when ripe. 6-8 peppers are thin,
skinny, with wrinkled skins. Have the appearance of a ho
pepper, but are amazingly sweet. One of my all time

A sweet bell pepper developed specifically for Northern
climates, this hearty plant produces solid yields of
medium sized bell peppers that ripen from green to red.

Feherozon(80-90 days) open pollinated
Incredibly sweet thick walled pepper, originally from
Hungry, this drawf plant produces 5" long fruits. Ripens
from light yellow, to orange, to red and can be used at any
stage. Dry and make parprika. Great producer that grow
well in Walla Walla. Seed source: Fedco
HOT PEPPERS
BULGARIAN CARROT (70 -80 days) open Pollinated
Plants produce an abundance of 3" long fruits which ripen
from yellow to orange. Hot, fruity flavor. Great roasted.

SERRANO TAMPIQUENO(75 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATED
One of the most popular serrano varities in Mexico.
Prolific producers of 2 x fruits. They get hotter as
they ripen from red to green. Great for fresh salsas, or try

Ancho Poblano (68 DAYS GREEN, 88 RED RIPE)
This year, bringing you a hyrbrid version of one of the
most popular chiles in Mexico. Mildy hot 4-6 fruits are
used widley to make chile rellenos and mole. Known as
Poblano when fresh, and Ancho when dried. Great
roasting pepper! Extremely productive, turns red when

CAYENNE (75 DAYS) OPEN POLLINATED
Often curled and twisted, this pepper packs a punch. Thin
fruits, grow 5-6 long. Bright red when ripe. Prolific
producer, great for chile pastes. This particular variety
Long Red Narrow Cayenne dates back to pre-1827. Seedsource: Fedco
JALEPEO (7O DAYS)Open pollinated
Named for Jalapa, Mexico. Widely used in Mexican cusine
these 3 green fruits, become hotter when allowed to
rippen to red. Traditionally, red jalepeos are known as

New Mexico Joe E. Parker Pepper (70 green, 95days Red) Open Pollinated
A traditional Southwestern-style Anaheim chile. Thick,
crisp fleah; mild, yet great tasting. Usually harvested
green and used for grilling, stuffing, or roasting. Seedsource: H.M.
Thai Hot (82 days) open pollinated
Very small, but very HOT peppers. Few peppers are hotter
Small, erect, conical peppers ripen from green to bright
red and pack a punch. Entire plant can be pulled and

Habanero (90 days) open pollinated
Native to Central Americas tropical lowlands, theHabanero is a world famous scolding HOT pepper. Latern
shaped fruits ripen to a lovely, rich orange color. Reported
to be 1,000 times hotter than the Jalepeo! Needs a very
warm and long growing season to produce. May need to
grow under a plastic structure for part of the summer to

A popular garden heirloom eggplant dating back to 1910.
Plump, shinny, dark purple, 4-5 inch diameter fruits with

Long slender, purple, early maturing variety. Sweet and
mild flavored. 12-18 long and 1-2 in diameter. Typically
more productive than larger eggplant varities, yielding up

An heirloom variety from the Boothby family of
Livermore, Maine. Heavy producer of creamy yellow fruit
Excellent crisp, flavor, no need to peel. Great variety for

Super zygross middle eastern slicer (openpollinated)
A delicious cucumber, thin, smooth, skin and never bitter.
Mild, refreshing taste. Will bear fruit all season long if

Painted Serpent (open pollinated)
Also known as the Striped Armenian Cucumber. Native to
Armenia, but brought to Italy in the 15th century.
Alternating light and dark striped skin, slightly fuzzy.

One great cucumber! Offering you a non-hybrid version
this year. Smooth, thin skin, tender and
crisp. Never bitter. A 2002 All-America Selections

Lemon Cucumber (open pollinated)
A cucumber dating back to the 1890s. Oval and round
cukes are juicy and sweet. Thin, tender skins, when pickeat pale yellow stage. Great for snacking and eating like an

Blacktail Mountain (0pen pollinated)
Developed by Glenn Drowns of Northern Idaho, where
summer nights average 43 degrees. Round 9 fruits weigh
6-12 lbs. Sweet juicy, crunchy, scarlet flesh. Seed souce: S.S.E
SMALL SHINING LIGHT (Open pollinated)
Hailing from Russia, this variety was introduced to
gardeners in the United States by the Seed Savers
Exchange in 1991. A compact watermelon, great for
Northern Climates. Good holding ability. Very dark green
rind, with sweet red flesh. Fruits are 10 to 12". Pretty

Oka Muskmelon (0pen pollinated)
A Canadian heirloom, originally bred in 1912 by FatherAthanase of the Trappist Monastery at Oka in Montreal.
Once thought to be lost, but recently rediscovered on
Bizard Island on the St. Lawrence River. Orange flesh is
sweet, creamy, juicy, and out performs most melons even

Zephyr F1 (HYBRID)
Beautiful and unique crookneck squash, yellow stripes
with a green tip. Great nutty flavor when harvested
young. Despite it's unfortunate status as a hybrid, Zephyr

A Middle Eastern variety, bulbous, pale green with white
speckles. Tender and delicious when harvested young. A

Deep orange, 3-4 lbs fruits. Flesh is thick, sweet, and dry.
Ripens earlier than many other pie pumpkin varieties.

McMahon of Philadelphia and named for its resemblance
to a cheese wheel. Flattened ribbed fruit, tan skin, with

Hails from Chioggia on the coast of Italy, and is one of the
most beautiful and unique hierloom varities. Blue-green,
