would like to welcome
back students, families

new skills and grow in
confidence and abilities

Welcome back to the
staff, our school has an
incredible team of expe-

Welcome to Kindy
Welcome to our wonderful Kindergarten students for
2021. Ethan, Ellyse and Archer have had a wonderful
week settling in to school life. They have enjoyed Art
and Craft with Mrs Smyth and Mrs Kimm, Maths and
Science with Mrs Rayner and Literacy and library with
Mr G. This morning they have been learning all about
Mars with Mr G. Of course they have also had fun with
new friends and all our outdoor toys and equipment!

LIBRARY VAN VISIT Our first Bathurst Library Van visit for the year brought excitement to Hill End Public School
especially for our new Kindergarten students. Thanks to Mel and Sarah our students were able to
borrow a great selection of books each for the month. As usual the Library Van visits are a highlight
of the year. Thanks to Bathurst Regional Council and the Bathurst Library for this great service!
LET THE PORTAL BEGIN! As we approach the new frontier of space this term our Learning Portal is
already starting to take shape!
It’s only been a week and our portal already has the planets, our moon and all our
library books that are related to this exciting topic! There is even a control centre
for their spaceship. Students created some wonderful space art work with
Mrs Smyth last week which they hung on the classroom walls.
It already feels like we have entered the new frontier! 2021 is going to be an
exciting year for Hill End Public School with a wonderful group of students who
are eager to learn from staff who are dedicated, enthusiastic and looking forward to
teaching this year. Can’t wait to see the Learning Portal develop!

Health Clinic News Just a reminder that the Women’s Health Clinic is on tomorrow
Friday 5th at Hill End.
I am trying to make this a regular clinic, hopefully every 2-3 months.
Appointments are 45 minutes.
Also, if you have been diagnosed with fatty liver or hepatitis C there is
some great news. These conditions can be treated if caught early,
so I also have the Liver Nurse from Bathurst Hospital coming to Hill End
tomorrow the 5th February.
Please help me support these specialist nurses.
They are completely free clinics so if you know anyone who might be
interested and they are not on Facebook please spread the word.
Stay safe everyone,
Fiona - Community Nurse
Don’t
forget if
you have
Covid-19 like
symptoms
please do not
attend the
Hill End
Health Clinic
You can
