Are we independent from nature?
It often seems to us that we are independent from nature. We live and work inair‐conditioned rooms, we drive cars, buses and other means of transport. We are notworried about where we can get food, because we can buy it in a store. One can get theimpression that nature does not affect us very much. Unfortunately, nature often remindsthat we are not independent from it in the least expected moments. Bad weather andnatural disasters remind us that we are still dependent on it.
Natural disasters
How nature affects people?
In everyday life, we are constantly dependent on the weather. When winter comes, we haveto put on more layers of thicker clothes to prevent heat loss. In the summer, however, weshould avoid staying in the hottest sun, because we can get sunstroke. During hot weather, you need to drink more than usual to make up the amount of water lost from the body. It isalso worth remembering about the use of suncream, not just when sunbathing on the beach.Forgetting to use it may result in painful burns. In the past, being in the sun was not soharmful, but the situation changed as a result of the phenomenon called the ozone hole.
Important!
Avoid sun exposure in the summer. It has many advantages, including allowing theproduction of vitamin D, which is important for health in our bodies.

Transforming the landscape is often very beneficial for people. Currently, not onlyengineers, but also specialists in environmental protection watch over this process. Thanksto this, it is possible to build new roads or houses in such a way as to avoid irreversible, adverse changes in nature or reduce them to the necessary minimum. Sometimes, however, unexpected accidents and disasters occur despite this control.

Przebieg lekcji
Prowadzący lekcję określa cel zajęć i wspólnie z uczniami ustala kryteria sukcesu.
Faza realizacyjna
Nauczyciel dzieli klasę na 2 grupy. Grupy otrzymują arkusze papieru i mazaki.
Plakaty zostają wywieszone, a uczniowie tworząwspólną listę odpowiedzi.Uczniowie wykorzystują planszę interaktywną do uporządkowania swojej wiedzy.
Faza podsumowująca
Nauczyciel prosi, aby uczniowie samodzielnie wykonali wskazane ćwiczenieinteraktywne.

Lesson plan overview
Before classes
Students get acquainted with the content of the abstract. They prepare to work on thelesson in such a way to be able to summarize the material read in their own words andsolve the tasks themselves.
Introduction
The teacher explains the aim of the lesson and together with students determines thesuccess criteria to be achieved.
Realization
The teacher divides the class into two groups. Groups receive sheets of paper andmarkers. The first group is to point to examples of man's independence from nature, and the second - to the dependence of man on nature. After the expiration of the time, the representatives of the groups present their ideas. Students together with theteacher assess the correctness of the examples cited. The teacher asks students to read the given fragment of the abstract and try toremember its content. Then the participants, working in pairs, ask each other about theknowledge of the fragment. The teacher asks students to carry out the recommended interactive exercisethemselves.
The teacher asks pupils to reflect on Task 1 and write on the white pages given by theteacher the 5 most important, in their opinion, responses. Next, students working inpairs choose from among their ideas 6 common and write them on yellow pages (one ona pair). Now, students create groups of four, which must decide on 6 joint proposals, which they write on blue sheets. In the next stage, eight people meet and create 8proposals that they write on posters. Posters are posted and students create a commonlist of answers.Students use the interactive board to organize their knowledge.
Summary
The teacher asks students to carry out the recommended interactive exercisethemselves. At the end of the class, the teacher asks the students questions:
What did you find important and interesting in class? What was easy and what was difficult? How can you use the knowledge and skills you have gained today?
Willing/selected students summarize the lesson.
