The ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad cordially invites you to “The NJY 6th Memorial
International Virtual Moot Court Competition 2021” from May 13 to 16, 2021. We have
organized 33rd All India Inter-University Moot Court Competition jointly with Bar
Council of India during March and April 2017, “The NJY Memorial Asia Pacific Moot
Court Competition, 2018” was organized during March 29 to April 1, 2018, The NJ Y 4th
Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2019 was organized during March 28 to 31,
2019, The NJ Y 5th Memorial Virtual Moot Court Competition 2020 was organized during
October 16 to 18, 2020.
The ICFAI Law School, IFHE, Hyderabad is a promising destination for the students
desirous of making law as their Dream “Career”. The ICFAI Law School is a significant
segment of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, a deemed to be University, and its
programs are recognized by Bar Council of India.
The ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad offers BBA.LLB (Hons) and BA.LLB (Hons) integrated
five year programs, LLM Program in ADR, Corporate and Commercial Laws and Tax
Laws, Ph.D. Program (full time and part time) and Ten Certificate Courses in Cyber Law,
Infrastructure Laws, Law of Financial Services, Immigration Laws, Solid Waste
Management and Law, Goods and Services Tax Laws, International Trade Law and

THE COMPETITION
RULES FOR THE COMPETITION
6. Written Memorials: Each team must submit the memorial of moot problem 1 for both the complainant Oral rounds will be held ONLINE.and respondent in a pdf format, no later than 9.00 pm IST on 30th April 2021 and for moot problem 2 for both the complainant and respondent in a pdf format, no 1. There will be four rounds, the preliminary rounds later than 9.00 pm IST on 6th May 2021 to (first and second), semi-finals and finals. Semi-finals and Finals based are on Problem 2. 7. Scoring Criteria
2. During the preliminary rounds (first and second) each Each Court will assign marks to each individual team shall argue once for the complainant and next for participant and the team in the manner shown below:respondent.
Total Marks 100 Marks3. Based upon the merit of aggregate marks of
Written submissions 20 Marks preliminary rounds, eight teams will be selected for the
Oral Presentation 80 Markssecond round.a. Substance in arguments 40 Marks 4. Eight teams in the second round will be competing on b. Skills of advocacy 20 Marks knockout basis, four teams will be qualified for semi-
finals. c. Response to questions and articulation 10 Marks
5. Semi-final round will be knockout round, two teams d. General impression, court manners 10 Marksfrom it will qualify for final.
8. The team shall identify the speakers and researcher well before the registration. Once the speakers and researchers are identified their position will not be modified under any circumstances.
9. The Moot problems will be sent to the tams only after the registration.
10.Participants should attend the proceedings of the competition in 'Formal Attire'.

Eligibility Teams must be a valid undergraduate student pursuing a law program or equivalent from the recognized University / School / Institution, approved by the concerned authority of the country.
Team Composition Each team shall consist of two speakers, 1 researcher OR only 2 speakers.
