r. Edwards was born ill Ingersoll, was a contractor and carpenter. Among some his work, was Foldens Unit­ed Chw'ch S.S. No.3 school. Innerkip school as well as many private homes. He made his home in East Detroit Michigan. He was born November 21, 1880. Died November 'n, 1981 and was buried December 1, at Mt. Clemens Michigan. The late Mr. Edwards is an .uncle of Mr. Everett Irwin of Putnam.

Originally from LOlldon, Mr . Johnston lived most of his life in West Nissouri Township. He worked as a small 1001 repairman at GM Diesel for 10 years. He was an active member of the Thorndale and district slo­pitch league ·and was the lead man with the West Nissouri Tug of War team.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife, the former Lois Pardy; his daughters Pam, Julie and Cindy, all at home; brothers Edward of London and sisters Mrs. Marijeall (Lloyd) Hen­shaw of Echo Bay, and Mrs. Marlene (Don) Chappell of London .

He was predeceased by his falher Frank in 1951, his lIIother Jean in 1981 and his brother John ill 1980.

Born in Sandwich East, Ontario, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wilson of Inger­soll, he was the manager of Becker Milk Company Ltd. Mr. Wilson was also a member of Trinity United Church, the King Hiram Lodge 37, AF and AM, the Mocha Temple Shrine, Branch 119 of (he Royal Canadian Legion and an R.C.A.F. during World War II.

Mr. Wilson was also a member of the Ingersoll Golf and Country Club, the Eastern Star Avalon Chap­ter 220 and a former mem­ber of the Ingersoll Lions Club.

He was predeceased by his wife, the late F.Isie WilsOIl, in June 1982.

He is survived by his son Doug of Burlington; daugh­ter Mrs. Bill (Pall Fuller of Ingersoll; brother James D. Wilson of Toronto and grandchildren Doug Wilson Jr., Tracey Wilson, Wendy Fuller and Scott Fuller.

Born in Sullivan Township to the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hastie, he spent his early life there and was a stationary engineer.

He was married to the former Charlotte Byers of Durham and they resided in Hanover, moving to Wood­stock in 1949, and to Beach­ville in 1950.

Mr. Hastie was employed at the former Wood Mosaic in Woodstock and had been a chief engi neer a 1 the Neilson plant in Beachville. unlil he retired. He was an elder at Grace United Church, Hanover, the first president of the Hanover Home and School; a mem­Jer and elder of Beachville United Church; served as derk of session and treas­urer for 15 years; was a member and past master of LOL 93, Woodstock; past perceptor of the Royal Black Knights; a member of LOL 625, Ingersoll; past county master of Oxford County; a member and past master of St. John's Lodge 68 AF and AM; a member of the Woodstock Lodge of Perfection; the Scottish Rite, centennial ' chapter Rose Croix, Moore Sover­eign Consistory, Hamilton .

Mr. Hastie was instrum­ental in founding the Beach­ville Credit Union and was the first president. He reo mained a member of the board. He was a member and served two terms as worthy patron of Avalon Chapter 220, Order of the Eastern Star; he served as a trustee for the Village 01 8eachviJIe.

He was predeceased by one brother Harold .

He was predeceased by his wife, the late Marjorie Pickersgill, who died in August 1982.

Mr. Pickersgill is sur­vived by his two sons Kenneth and James, both of R.R.2, Ingersoll; his broth­ers Bill of Tillsonburg, Harry of Otterville, and Max of Galt; and three grandchildren, Trevor, Kyle and Charlotte.

He was predeceased by his brothers Clive and Jack and his sisters Jessie Pal: mer. Mary Cavanaugh, Eva Jones, Ida De Meestre Fern Douglas and Dorothy ~
