DESCRIPTION & FEATURES

FER Treatment Plants DESCRIPTIONFER wastewater plants offer real solutions for constructing treatment facilities. They are based on providing proven treatment technologies but with bolted steel, field erected methods of construction and pre-fabricated ancillary structures. The cost effectiveness and rapid construction of bolted steel tanks offers great advantages compared to traditional concrete tank structures.

FER SOLUTION - WHY IT MAKES SENSEModular construction of bolted steel tanks provides low cost, rapid installation, construction in remote and restrictive environments, factory quality control, and cost competitiveness.

H2Flow has provided numerous FER (field erected) wastewater treatment plant facilities for communities and industrial clients. Current reduction of budgets require municipalities and industries to provide cost-effective solutions and less capital spending. H2Flow can provide to engineers, contractors and end-users a total solution including equipment sizing, supply, installation, and training of operating personnel. H2Flow is committed to supplying all of our clients with quality, cost-effective wastewater treatment options. If there is a bolt in every hole, a nut on every bolt, and mastic in every joint, the structural integrity of the bolted steel tank is insured. H2Flow tanks are built and tested to “zero defects”. A viable option for colder climates as tanks can be covered, insulated and heat traced to protect from freezing.

Types of FER Treatment Plants Available:FER SBR – Sequencing Batch ReactorThe FER SBR system is based on the Sequencing Batch Reactor treatment technology, which is unique due to its compactness and performance. It has all the benefits of traditional wastewater treatment processes but achieving all the treatment stages such as carbonaceous (BOD) removal and nutrient removal in a single tank.

FER MBBR – Moving Bed Bio ReactorThe FER MBBR is based on the Moving Bed BioReactor treatment technology, where moving plastic carriers allow a fixed film biofilm growth, removing organic and inorganic substances in the wastewater. The Biowater biofilm carrier elements are freely mixing around in the reactor and are specially designed for biofilm growth. It has all the benefits of traditional biofilm processes such as RBC (Rotary Biological Contactors) but with many additional benefits. The bacteria will grow and develop a solid biofilm on the large protected surface area. The moving pattern of the carriers in the reactors will also provide a natural removal of excess biofilm, due to the shear forces between the carriers and the water in the reactor. A well developed biofilm can handle an extremely high load of nutrients while avoiding problems associated with clogging or shock.

FER MBR – Membrane Bio ReactorThe FER MBR is based on the Membrane BioReactor treatment technology, which is unique due to its compactness and performance, offering the best effluent quality available as compared to any other technology. The membranes are a flat sheet type with a very high surface area. The MBR’s are sized conservatively for low flux rates and TMP ( Trans-Membrane Pressure).

SIZING AND DIMENSIONAL CRITERIAH2FLOW offers standard models starting from 500 m3/day. H2Flow can offer smaller plants in different configurations such as the H2Flow TILT and HILT product lines.

The core of the FER system is based on Glass Fused to Steel tankage. Epoxy painted carbon steel sheets are also available.

We design systems for the removal of BOD, COD, Ammonia, or Nutrients, based on the customer’s influent analysis and effluent removal requirements.

Treatment process steps can include grit removal, flow equalization, nitrification, denitrification, tertiary filtration, disinfection, sludge storage, and other treatment.

Systems can be designed for water reuse, direct or indirect discharge. Contact us with your applications.

WE PROVIDE• Complete treatment system and process. • Tanks available in Glass Fused to Steel or Epoxy Coated Steel sheets.• After sales service and support.• Maintenance, inspections, testing and service contacts.• Foundation and structural engineering (optional).• Design build and turn key projects.

WE SUPPLY AND INSTALL• All tank systems and components.• Internal equipment such as level controls, mixing, aeration and pumps.• Insulation, heat tracing and exterior cladding as required.

FER wastewater treatment plants provide a cost effective and elegant solution to communities and industrial customers around the world. Please call us to discuss your treatment application today, we will be happy to share our expertise with you.
