Since our inception in 2002, Concrete habitatTM has been creating “domesticated concrete” for residen-tial and commercial projects all over the country. Our glass fiber reinforcement technology yields a much lighter, highly crack resistant product. This allows us to offer a 2-year warranty on our product against structural cracking. In addition, we use a state-of-the-art matte finish sealer that ensures the lasting protection of your surface from the hazards of everyday use. Clean lines and simple style... Add a touch of simplicity and elegance to any décor. Our hand-crafted products will compliment any style from Urban Contemporary to Mountain Rustic! We are confident that you will find a fresh, artistic alternative for your space.

Environmentally friendly concrete design.Beginning in March 2007, Concrete habitatTM adopted a new “green” production process by replacing 25% of its cementious material with a post-industrial recycled material eligible for LEED Points from the US Greenbuilding Council which awards points for the use of recycled content in construction products. This replacement will save over 10 tons of cement annually, resulting in a 10 ton reduction in CO2 emis-sions, 35 mm BTUs of energy will be saved and 15 fewer tons of cement feedstocks will be mined.

Frequently Asked Questions Q. Will it crack? A. Concrete habitatTM incorporates state-of-the-art reinforcement technology along with a proprietary curing process that eliminates structural cracking, and we back that up with a 2-year warranty. If your piece develops a structural crack under normal use within the warranty period, we will replace it, no questions asked.

Q. Will it stain? A. Concrete habitatTM utilizes a water based, matte finish sealer designed to withstand the rigors of a working kitchen or bathroom with little worry on your part. In our testing, we left everything from olive oil and lemon juice to red wine and mustard on our product for 24 hours. Everything wiped clean with no staining. We’ve had customers test this at home with our samples and you are welcome to do the same.

In our own tests, our clients’ kitchens, and on commercial bar-tops, our surfaces stand up to water, oils and acidics. With common sense and little maintenance our sealer provides protection that is unparalleled in the concrete surface industry.

Q. Will it need to be resealed? A. Unlike other surfaces, our sealer is applied before your product leaves our factory. You never need to oil, wax or reseal it. Ever!

Q. Will it be completely uniform looking? A. Variations in the color and texture are natural and inherent to concrete revealing its character. As with any handcrafted material, each project is uniquely different, which is part of concrete’s appeal.

Q. How do I care for my surface? A. We recommend our Concrete habitatTM Daily Cleaner, an anti-microbial cleaner safe for every day use. For quick spot cleaning, dish-soap and water will also work well. You can also use any neutral, non-abraisive cleaner. Do not use anything bleach or ammonia based.

Q. How long does it take to receive my product(s)? A. After we receive your order, you’ll have concrete in your habitat within 4-6 weeks!

Concrete Characteristics

Concrete is a natural, hand-crafted product, and no two surfaces will be exactly alike. Variations in the surface such as color mottling, crazing, and small air holes may occur. These characteristics do not affect the structural integrity of your piece, they only add to the unique beauty that makes your project one of a kind! We take great care to mix our formulas the same every time, measuring ingredients such as pigment to 3 decimal places. Even so, because over 90% of our concrete mix is of natural origin, the color of your concrete may vary slightly from the color of the sample you selected.
