• Unlike our homes, an animal’s habitat is outdoors and includes:– Food source– Water source– Shelter– Space

How do we find out what habitat an animal uses?

• Direct observation• Listening– bird calls

• Evidence of animals– dens, tracks, scats

• Electrofishing• Radio telemetry

We have 2 OBJECTIVES:1. Find where the

animals are with:– Aerial telemetry– Tracking on the

ground (looking for foot prints)

2. Record habitat descriptions for each animal
