ABOUT HACKSMITH

HackSmith is a 24 hours Infosec Tools Development Hackathon. HackSmith V1.0 edition was founded in

2017 by Black Hat Asia and Div0 to cultivate and promote Asia's cybersecurity community tools

development culture. The top teams with good submissions that emerged from HackSmith will stand a

higher chance of being featured at the annual Black Hat Asia Arsenal held at Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

WHAT'S THE TOPIC OF THIS HACKATHON

Cybersecurity!

WHAT KINDS OF SUBMISSION ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Cybersecurity tools! Tools for incident management, forensic investigations, threat hunting, Pentesting, data analysis, etc.

for any domain of choice, be it for Windows, Mac OSX, Mobile platforms, networking, cellular, etc.

NOTE: This is neither a CTF nor exploits development competition.

WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN?

The hackathon will start with some short talks and briefing. Teams will then start their development for 24 hours. A short

presentation will then follow, to be scored by our judging panel. Food and drinks will be provided!

WHY PARTICIPATE?

To hang out with fellow cybersecurity enthusiasts and code together! You don't need to have a million dollar idea, nor be

the best coder. "I just want to spend a geeky weekend coding with my fellow peers" is a good enough reason to register.

VENUE PROVIDER’S BENEFIT

As a venue provider, your logo will be featured at all the marketing materials (e.g. poster,

brochure, newsletter)

VENUE REQUIREMENT

• Venue able to host up to 60 pax

• Venue able to operate over the night for 24 hours straight.

• Preferred venue to be air-conditioned

• Venue to have free wifi access

• Classroom set up with table and chairs (other alternative will be consider)

• Basics AV function (e.g. projecting screen, projector & audio mic)

• Extension cords for up to 60 pax usage

• An area for F&B set up/ trash bin etc
