IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Participation & Values

RSY-Netzer Israel Tour is an immersive Reform Jewish experience. As such, all participants are expected to take an active part in the community that is built on their tour. This includes treating other members of the group with respect and participating fully in all the activities that are provided, where possible, including hikes, tours of sites, prayer and educational programmes. Full details can be found in the code of conduct which all participants must read and sign prior to being accepted onto the event.

Application Information

Places are limited, so please ensure that you apply early to avoid disappointment. To begin your online application you must complete the initial form at www.rsy-netzer.org.uk/israel-tour-2020 no later than 7 February 2020. Once you have submitted this form you will receive details of how to complete your application. This will be based on our priority system. The process will include submitting an application form and paying a £500 deposit, non-refundable after 7 February 2020.

Your place will only be secured once we have received your completed, signed application and medical forms and they have been approved. These forms must be completed by 7 February 2020. If anything changes relating to the welfare and medical information of your child before Israel Tour begins, it is your responsibility to advise us in writing.

Passports must be valid six months after the Israel Tour return date.

Prices & Additional Charges

Please note that at any time up until departure, you may incur the cost of an additional fuel surcharge and airport tax by the airline. UJIA Israel Experience will have to pass any increased charges on to the participants and their families, as per their Terms and Conditions.

Additional Travel Insurance

This may be required for those with pre-existing conditions and to cover valuable personal possessions.

Flight Deviation

There is a possibility to deviate your child’s flight with ELAL only. This is either: extending flight; change inbound flight; one-way flight; cancel inbound flight or cancel both flights. More information to be emailed out in January 2020.

Sibling Discount

If a sibling is on an RSY-Netzer Shemesh Summer Camp this year, we will apply a £150 sibling discount for the child on Israel Tour. Multiples on Israel Tour will be granted a discount of £150 each.

Additional Expenditures

Pocket Money: The recommended amount of pocket money for the duration of Tour is £250 (this will include buying the tour sweatshirt about £15-£20) – a RSY-Netzer t-shirt is included in the price. Currency card or shekels are preferred.

Kit & Equipment: For a more detailed KIT LIST go to www.rsy-netzer.org.uk/ourevents/israel-tour/israel-tour-kit-list

Payment

We have a priority system for members of Reform synagogues and participants who have attended an RSY-Netzer event since summer 2018, so do make sure you get your forms in by 12 December to benefit from this.

Payment of the deposit must be made via card when submitting the initial application. We accept all major credit cards.

Full Payment for applicants accepted on tour must be received by the RSY-Netzer office no later than 27 April 2020.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance, in the form of bursaries and payments by instalment, is available through RSY-Netzer and UJIA to provide support to applicants who cannot meet the full cost of the programme. Through bursary funding, UJIA aims to offer young people the opportunity to take part in a Youth Movement Israel Tour. If you are in a financial situation where you are unable to afford the full cost of the programme, please tick the appropriate box on the Initial Application Form and you will be sent a link to the Financial Assistance Form. The UJIA Bursary Fund will assist individuals to the best of its ability based on a means-tested process. The UJIA Bursary Fund Committee guarantees complete confidentiality throughout the process and the identities of the recipients of bursaries remain anonymous.

Cancellation

If a participant or parent/guardian wishes to cancel their place on a programme they must contact RSY-Netzer in writing [email protected]

If a participant or parent/guardian who cancels their place prior to the deposit payment deadline, 7 February 2020, will be entitled to a refund less £175 administration fee.
