Haemobank Kiosk Software Procedures

To complete preventative maintenance and equipment diagnostics you will need to be able to access different sections of the BloodTrack Kiosk software. Some of the common software functions you will need to learn are:

• How to access the BloodTrack Courier door lock test menu.

• How to complete a tray test.

• Manual bypass handle reset procedure.

• Finalizing a service visit with the “Service Interval Reset” function.

• Additional Software Considerations.

Accessing The BloodTrack Door Lock Test Menu

1. Touch the upper right corner of the screen. The red box below indicates the hidden button location.

2. Enter “19651955” to gain access to Configuration mode.

While the BloodTrack Courier software is running the default view on the kiosk gives the users instructions on how to use the equipment. The Door Lock Test Menu can be accessed from this screen. Do not change any other settings in the configuration menu.

Tray Testing – Individual Tray Test

1. Select “Unlock” to unlock the main door.

2. Select the desired Row and Column from the drop boxes.

3. Select “Unlock Compartment”. The desired tray will illuminate and the solenoid will fire to unlock it. Once you open the tray the LED will go dark and the solenoid will close to automatically lock the compartment once it is closed.

The Door Lock Test menu is also equipped for running diagnostics on individual trays, components, or all trays. To test operation of an individual drawer:

To test all trays as well as the scanner function:

1. Verify Row 1 and Column A are selected in the dropdown boxes.

2. Select the Test All button. The Test Details menu will pop up.

3. In the Test Type dropdown select “Tray” and then select “Start”

The software will then prompt you with what action to take throughout the testing:

4. The main door will unlock, open the main door.

5. The indicated tray will light up. Open and then close the tray. Repeat this for all trays.

After testing all the trays the equipment will prompt you to test the scanner6. Select the “Print Barcodes” button. The printer will print

out a barcode label that is needed to complete the test.7. Scan all of the barcodes on the printout. The four boxes

will automatically populate once the barcode is scanned.

Tray Testing – Testing All Trays and Scanner

• You will then be prompted to print a copy of the test results (a text file document of the test results is automatically generated as well).

• Print the report and verify that both HaemoBank Test and Scanner Test were completed successfully. If they were not, resolve the issue and repeat the test.

• Sign and date the copy of the Test Report and file it with the installation/service record.

Manual Bypass Reset

In an emergency the keyed manual bypass handle can be turned to unlock all storage trays at once, bypassing the software. Once this has bypass handle has been actuated and then reset, it must also be reset within the software. In the Door Lock Test menu the current bypass setting will be displayed. Select the “Reset Bypass” button to reset the bypass to the off condition.

Service Interval Reset

After any service event has been completed the Service Interval will need to be reset. This allows the HaemoBank to record when service was last performed.

1. Select the “Service” Button

2. Select “Reset Service”

Software Considerations

Once service has been completed and the Service Interval is reset, please exit the Door Lock Test menu.

1. Select the “Done” button. 2. Select the “Cancel” button.

Software Considerations

• If the need arises to exit the BloodTrack Courier software to gain access to Microsoft Windows Features:1. Using the kiosk, touch the hidden button on the

bottom right corner of the touchscreen.2. To exit the software enter the password “1234”

• To restart the BloodTrack Courier select it’s icon from the Windows desktop.

• Always contact the Blood Bank after performing service. The Blood Bank will ensure that BloodTrackis working properly before you leave.
