This 2 days workshop covers aspects of the technical components of halal food, non-food and services. Participants will learn about the basics of Shariah as well as the halal certification procedures. This module will assist participants to ensure the implementation of halal practices is in accordance to the Malaysian standards. This course will also benefit those who will be applying/ preparing for the renewal of the halal certification. LEARNING OUTCOMES Participants will be able to: Identify the technical components of Halal products ie: food, non-food & services. Conduct internal halal audit programme within the organisation Manage the halal audit programme from planning to report writing Conduct halal monitoring, traceability and verification within the organisation. TRAINER Certified trainer who are leading experts in their field, locally and internationally and have significant experiences relating to halal matters. Participants of this course will be able to leverage on the many years of experience the consultants have and the latest findings in the research and development of the Halal Industry. This 2 days workshop covers aspects of the technical components of halal food, non-food and services. Participants will learn about the basics of Shariah as well as the halal certification procedures. Halal Assurance Management System (Awareness)

Understanding the Fundamentals of Halal Industry is important to all interested parties who wish to implement halal principles. The industry recognises that halal food products should be Halal Certified in order to gain access to the global food market. Industry players in both food and non-food sectors should ensure that their products are Halal and Thoyibban (wholesome) and should incorporate the halal principles and best practices in their manufacturing processes.

LEARNING OUTCOMESAt the end of the course, participants will be able to:• Understand and increase the level of awareness on the Principles and Concept of Halal.• Understand the importance of proper sourcing of raw materials and production of halal food and consumer products.• Share and apply the knowledge gained in today’s halal industry.

LEARNING METHODOLOGYLecture on fundamentals and theory

MS1500:2009 Halal Food WorkshopThis 2 day workshop provides an intensive knowledge on the overall best halal practices for the manufacturers according to MS1500:2009 requirements and to produce high quality halal products for the ever demanding global halal food market. Modules cover the importance of MS1500:2009, the requirements for halal certification and processing as well as logistics in the halal food production. This standard contains practical guidelines for the food industry on the preparation and handling of halal food (including nutrient enhancers). It aims to set the ground rules for food products or food businesses in Malaysia.

LEARNING OUTCOMESParticipants will be able to:• Apply and implement Halal Requirement based on MS1500:2009 and Malaysia Halal Certification Procedure require by JAKIM Halal Certification.• Managing best halal practices within a food premise/area.• Understand the halal processes and logistics of the food products.

TRAINERCourse will be delivered by Halal Certified master trainers who are experienced in various halal matters

The Halal Assurance Management System (HAS) training is a structured, systematic and comprehensive training program specifically designed for halal industry players in managing the effectiveness of halal control and assurance in the organization. HAS is designed to provide knowledge and guidance to participants on the implementation, understanding and knowledge of HAS as an internal mechanism in halal monitoring, controlling, improving and preventing any noncompliance in producing halal products. The aim to overcome hazards and establish a control system to ensure integrity and safety on the production and provision of halal products and services.

LEARNING OUTCOMESParticipants will be able to• Establish Halal Manual according to JAKIM’s guidelines• Implement the Halal Assurance Management System effectively

MS2424:2012 Halal Pharmaceuticals Workshop

This 2 day workshop provides an intensive knowledge on the overall best halal practices for the pharmaceutical industry according to MS2424:2012 requirements and to aid in the production of high quality pharmaceutical products for the ever demanding global market. This course covers the best Halal practices for manufacturers within the pharmaceutical industry. Modules cover the importance of MS2424:2012, the requirements for Halal certification and processing. This workshop contains practical guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry on the preparation and handling of pharmaceuticals products. It aims to set the ground rules for the pharmaceutical products in Malaysia.
