The parapet panel
▪ Higher level of prefabrication▪ Many types of architecture▪ Safe and quick installation
Basic planning information for the concrete façadeYou want to implement your ideas from the planning safely and eco-nomically.
Innovative production techniques of the prefabricated concrete works and the new, self-sealing types of concrete make new and modern surface structures possible, together with a wide range of façades con-nectors from high quality, efficient, practical and sophisticated prefabri-cated concrete components.
These façades will be secured to the load-bearing construction of the building as independent, thin façade elements . In doing this, a differentiation is made between the following types of construction:
▪ suspended façade panels▪ angled panels▪ parapet elements
This catalog presents the necessary anchoring and fixation elements for various types of construction for concrete façades.
HALFEN will assist you with its ex-tensive experience and its compre-hensive range of products from the start of the planning, through the dimensioning and static consulta-tion up to the installation of the constructions. We will thereby support you in the realization of your planning.

1. A recess (grout hole) is provided in the structure for the threaded bolt, or the bolt may be cast directly into the concrete, whereby it must be ensured that the dowel remains completely perpendicular.
2. The dowels must be grouted verti-cally into the recesses in the struc-ture (if they are not directly cast in)
(≥ C30/37).
3. A recess is provided in the precast part for the grouting of the dowel once it has been aligned.
4. The thread is left exposed, and the tapped plate is turned onto it and pre-adjusted.
5. The tapped plate is moved. Adjust-ment is carried out horizontally in the grout recess and vertically with the using the tapped plate.
6. After the adjustment, the recess in the panel is filled with concrete (concrete strength ≥ 25 N/mm²). The position of the corner panel must be secured until the concrete grout has hardened.

OVERVIEW OF HALFEN HORIZONTAL ANCHORING / DOWEL RESTRAINTS
Horizontal anchors are used for the horizontal support of facing panels (façade slabs). In principle, a differ-entiation is made between horizontal fixations for the acceptance of pressure and/or tensile forces of panels that are aligned to each other in parallel or at right angles, as well as for the align-ment of panels arranged above or be-low each other with dowel restraints.
The selection of the product version is made according to the loading, sec-tion, distance and accessibility.
HALFEN-DEHA offers a wide range of anchors with different load ranges for this application.
• High pressure strengths • Cavities < 300 mm

SOFTWARE
The HALFEN dimensioning programs BRA and FPA are user-friendly and easy to operate. The calculation takes place after the entry of the dimensions of the facing or parapet slab, the selection of the anchor types and some options.
It works without saying that both the FPA program and the BRA program – as well as the other HALFEN software – are equipped with a simple-to-operate Help function.

HALFEN FRONT PANEL (FAÇADE) FIXATIONS
Concrete , cast s tone - and natura l s tone façadesThe façade of a building is the visible structural envelope and thereby the visit-ing card of the company. In addition to the aesthetic requirements on the façade, the latter also has, above all, very practi-cal functions to fulfill. It is primarily used as a protection against damp, rain, heat and noise.
In conjunction with the architectural requirements on the façade material and the type of façade, rear-ventilated designs in particular have proved their value with regard to long service life for brickwork, natural stone and concrete and cast stone façades. The care that the architect invests in the drafting and the design of the outer envelope is just as necessary for the planning of the non-visible sub-structure.
This applies in an exemplary manner to the curtain-type, rear-ventilated façades. The advantages are particularly large here. The sound insulation factor and the heat protection, for example, can be considerably improved. The latter is particularly important with regard to the continuously increasing requirements on energy and affects the protection of heat in both the winter and the summer periods. Large insula-tion factors can be realized in the cavities without problem.
HALFEN offers the appropriate sub-struc-ture and façade fixation for all require-ments. Our decades of experience and our claims for safety, quality and long service life have been vindicated.
Rely on proven safety, in particular where you want to mount high quality façade facings whose service life should correspond to that of the outer envelope. Inaccessible façade cavities require a high quality standard. And this is the proven safety that HALFEN offers you.
Fixation for brickwork support systemsLarge area rocks, slabs and brickwork can also be supported with brickwork support systems. The brickwork support is avail-able in countless models and cantilever dimensions for all requirements.
Please refer to our catalog for more infor-mation: HALFEN FM Brickwork Support Systems
HALFEN FM Body AnchorThe most effective way to mount thin natural or cast stone slabs in front of a supporting concrete construction. The combination with grouted-in HALFEN channels in particular makes a fast installa-tion possible. Different products economi-cally cover all the necessary requirements on loading and cantilevers.
Please refer to our catalog for more infor-mation: HALFEN FS Natural Stone Anchors
HALFEN grout-in anchorsAn inexpensive and alternative fixation op-tion for natural stone and cast stone slabs is offered by the grout-in anchor. This fixation is suitable for both high loads and large cantilevers. The round shape has the advantage of not changing the load-bearing capacities, even in the case of possible misalignment along the tube axis.
Please refer to our catalog for more infor-mation: HALFEN FS Natural Stone Anchors
34
HALFEN FRONT PANEL (FAÇADE) FIXATIONS
Concrete , cast s tone - and natura l s tone façades
HALFEN Substructure SystemThis construction for rear ventilated and curtain wall façades made from thin natu-ral stone slabs or cast stone is particularly suitable for large cavities with large insula-tion thicknesses and irregular cavities.
Please refer to our catalog for more infor-mation: HALFEN FS Natural Stone Anchors
MVA Sleeve Sandwich Panel AnchorThe sleeve sandwich panel anchors for reinforced concrete façade elements connect the facing layer to the insulation and load-bearing layer. The system is particularly suitable for large-area slabs with a high insulation thickness.
Please refer to our catalog for more information: DEHA MVA Sleeve Sandwich Panel Anchor
SPA Sandwich Panel AnchorSandwich panels combine the supporting cha-racteristics of a concrete wall with the functional and design elements of facing wall constructions, linked by the type-tested HALFEN sandwich an-chor. The insulation layer core is only penetrated by a thin anchor.
Please refer to our catalog for more information: HALFEN SPA Sandwich Panel Anchor
