Every effort will be made to accommodate those competitors wishing to enter other
classes at the show. In order to ensure that this is carried out with the minimum of

Perpetual trophies are as shown in schedule, plaques or trophies for 1st place IN
ALL CLASSES — see trophy stand at show.
N.B. All perpetual trophies must be returned by the 1st of August 2015. It is the
responsibility of the trophy holders to keep these trophies in the best condition and they will
be held liable if they are damaged or lost, please see Rules 8 and 9.

1. Competitors must enter the ring when their class is called, late arrivals will be
disqualified.
2. Bare-back riding is not allowed, a badly behaved rider, horse or pony will be
expelled from the Show.
3. No spurs allowed except for classes 14, 16, 20, 32, 34, 36, 40 - only for rider of
Horse over 14.2hh, 41-47. Only competitors 17 and over on the show day may use
spurs in any of these classes. The judges may disqualify a competitor if spurs are
misused.
4. All competitors are to be correctly dressed, hard hats of current British Standard
must be worn at all times while mounted. Handlers are recommended to wear hard
hats, for handlers 14 years & under hard hats are compulsory.
5. The Judge’s decision is final, objections may be lodged up to 10 minutes follow-
ing the class but must be in writing and accompanied by a fee of £10 which will be
refunded if the objection is upheld.
6. The committee reserve the right to cancel any class or refuse entry to any class
without explanation.
7. Any change of rider or substitute of horse or pony must be accepted by the show
secretary before competing.
8. All perpetual cups, shields and trophies MUST be signed for by an adult (18 years
or over) and returned inscribed and in good condition by 01/08/2015.
9. Trophy winners must accept responsibility for any loss or damage to the trophies.
Expenses for repair or replacement must be accepted by them also.
10. No responsibility can be accepted by the Society for loss, damage or injury to
persons, property or animals whatsoever or howsoever caused.
11. A rider may enter more than one horse/pony in classes 38, 39, 41-46.
A horse/pony cannot have more than one rider per class except class 10.
12. No crops are allowed to be used by competitors on the Leading Rein.
13. Show Cane can be no longer than 30 inches.
14. Competitors and Trade Stands to have own full Public Liability Insurance.
