��HALO News Tour de Yorkshire orienteering · 2019. 5. 7. · ��. ��...

HALO News - Tuesday 7th May View this email in your browser Poacher Roundup......... The fourth event took place at Hendale last Wednesday, thanks to Paul Simmons for planning the three courses. The nettles are starting to make an appearance now.... On the long course it was a battle between the Loggers, whilst the medium saw the youngsters beat the oldies. You can read a full report online. This Wednesday we are at Pillar Woods with Isoldt planning. Drive into the woods past the Pillar. Post race discussion at Caistor Lakes. Poacher Archives cntd........... Pete Harris and Brian Slater both planned an event in the first series and will do again this year. Pete's was at Bradley Woods and Brian's was at Cleethorpes CP. (which he is planning again this year) British Champs Weekend.......... Three days of orienteering in Yorkshire for the British Champs. Saturday saw sprint relays at Bradford University. HALO had 3 teams, White, Blue and Green. The blues (Brian, Amanda & Neil) finished 16th, with the greens and whites both finishing 23rd. Sunday saw the individual races at Kilnsey. Top finishers were, Flora Jolly 1st W14B, Elspeth 15th W14A, David 2nd M45s, Neil 22nd 60L, Pete H 50th M60L, JB 5th M75s and MC 24th W70L. Monday had relays at Middleton Wood Leeds. Again we had green, blue and white teams. The greens (Jollies & MC) did best finishing 11th out of 29, followed by the blues (NH, PH, BS) 14th and the whites (CS, JE, MB) 25th.
