February 2007New Recruits That's something that all mission organizations like to see. Wehave a passion for reaching the lost world with the Gospel of Christ, so when wethink of new recruits, we think of new un-reached people groups being reached. We think of needs being met, places having preachers and teachers where therewere none new workers for the Kingdom in places where there is such a greatneed, new people that we may be able to help do the work of the Kingdom thaGod has called them to do. We get excited We get encouraged. We thank theLord that maybe we can be used tohelp in somesmall way.

In the past couple of months we have had several people come to us for helpyoung people who feel the call of Go d on their lives to t ake the word of Go d tothose in another coimtry where theydon't have it. We have also had older peoplewho are already in ministry come to us to partner with them as they make evangelistic trips overseas. We are praisingGodfor beinghere to hopefully help thesebrothers and sisters in Christ serve Him more fully and completely in other coimt r ies .

Patrick Mahoney is one of our recruits whois on his way to Equatorial Guinea towork on Bible translation in the Fang language. He wiU be working on the OldTestament. He is raising support at this time and plans to leave for Africa inAugust or September.

Last month we had Maiy Frank and Norma Caddell leave for Gulu Uganda toserve there. They did arrive safely and are doing great. They are busy getting

:settled and working in the displacement camps with the people from NorthernUganda. They were so excited to get over there and get started in the work. Wealso had the Ulibarri family return to Equatorial Guinea West Africa. They arestayingout in a village with the peoplelearningthe Fanglanguage and gettingimmersed into the culture. As you pray for these workers, please keep Allen andBetty Pierce in your prayers as they are battling malaria and other healtli issuesthere in Equatorial Giiinea. The Pryor family has had some problems with malaria as well. Living in the village in New Guinea lends to a lot of health issues

from time to time. A1 Corson's most recent trip to Mozambique and South Africawent well. Hewas ableto accomplish a lot ofteaching and preaching. He plans toreturn to Mozambique with his wife Velma this year and continue with helpingthe people understand the scriptures from the Christian world view. Jared Hlahas beenverybusy with his involvement in the universitythere in Thailand. Heisstudying Thaiand helping his dad in the ministryin Myanmar. There are several

News f rom the Ham House:The work of the Lord that we are allowed to take part in, has been extremely exciting this

spring. Now at the end of May, 2007 we can bring you some views from our perspectiveand our experience.

If you have not received a copy of the 'Horizons' magazine, for the month of May -20you might want to call them and ask for one to be sent to you, since Outreach Internationalis the 'featured' mission for that issue. Sonja helped put some of our material together andwe think you will enjoy that issue, the staff at Mission Services did a fine Job of presentiour part in God's work. The phone number for Mission services is 800-655-8524 and youcan see it is toll free. Just ask for a copy for May 2007 issue (or order some for yourchurch) - to be mailed to your address.

We have a man (and wife) praying about the possibility of coming on board full time towork with Outreach International in state-side services and who can also visit overseas projects . We believe this is from the Lord. Please be praying for them as there truly is a needfor help on the home-front for work in the far-flung front.

Ijust returned from a trip overseas, and this seems also to have been the Lord's leading, asit may provide opportuni ties for sending future workers .. .more on that at a later t ime. We

were thankful to have number one daughter, Fran with hubby Pete and son, Denzil stay withAnnette while I was of f to another part of the world The Lord really blessed Annette'stime with them and also my time across the seas Pete and Fran made that trip possible ~ abig thank you to both o f them

We lost a great worker for the Lord when Jerry Culbertson of Bethel Mo., d i^ suddenand went to be with the Lord He was a real blessing to our ministry in missions. Pray thathis fine wife Judy will keep on in faith in the army of the Lord, she is very strong in theL o r d a s wel l

    Thanks again 6c s4nneite/

From the Bethel^ Missouri Office,,.Yippee ... the tax filing was completed by Mid-May an d the registrations ar e al l up to date for Outreach International

It is always a blessing to hove that taken care of each year and of course it is one of Sonja's many responsibilities. We ar e now full swing into the camp season. Sonja represented Outreach International as the mission at our local

High week of camp as well as the local Day Camp (for those going into the first grade) . Later in July she will be at the 5& 6th grade week of camp for their missions time. We wish we could both be out at camp fo r the entire week but so farhas just been Sonja there fo r the Mission time and some meals. It is always exciting to hear the kids express their desire tse e lost people found. One young lady at Jr. High week of camp stated that he r church has no overseas missionaries, butshe was going to let her church know they needed to support some overseas missionaries. That was so encouraging... itshows that even at heryoung age she is taking initiative an d beingpro-active in reaching the unreached for Christ, PTL

The en d of February we were able to ge t in on a meeting with Richard Castle regarding his survey trip to India We avery excited about the information he was able to report back to us an d look forward to future opportunities to researchand develop a strategy to reaching into some of the unreachedpeople groups he discovered while there.

There are also some new opportunities in Asia that will require a great deal o f prayer power, time, travel and recruits

see these open doors taken advantage of with God's people carrying God's love. Isn 't it exciting to be in the hands ofliving God? We ar e always looking forward to what is next

It won 7 be long an d it will be missionary convention time.... This year, 2007, marks the 30th anniversary of OutreacInternational We ar e planning to have a thanksgiving prayer an d praise time at the National Missionary Convention iCincinnati, Ohio on Friday, November I6th in Room 232 after the main session (around 8:30 pm). Please plan to coan d be a part of this prayer an d praise time. Welook forward to having time with al l the O.I. recruits (past an d presenmissionaries, supporters, prayer warriors, fr iends, andfamily We hope toseeyou there. Trip in May 2007 OverseasA l m i l t o n

In the June 7, 2007 Issue of US A Today, on p. 5 Sec.B, is a story of one American college student who traveled overseas, to get her MBA degree. It was cheaperand it required a shorter time to achieve. This is now becoming a trend that is verypopular with American college students. And this also emphasizes the awarenessthat experience and opportunity overseas is a great advantage in the present mode rn wor ld .

What the article in USA Today does not reveal obviously is that this opportunity has been before our students for many years. 16 years ago, Y S Inc. sentseveral students to South East Asia, to a Universi ty to study the local language andculture. Two of those students are still there now, as teachers of English. I visited

with them, and have also renewed the friendship established 16 years ago with theLocal University President. These young American students had made such a lasting and positive impression on the foreign University president and others, that wehave now been asked to send teachers of English - and students would be welcomeas well to teach American English in the University. We see this as an open doorthat we have been presented and must be pursued. If you or someone you know isinterested in spending a year or more overseas - and you would like the details ofthis invitation, and the country, please contact me - Al Hamilton, atE mail: mumzaiambosana@vahoo .com phone: 817 657 5493.

We are excited to see this opportunity being sent in our direction, and we cannot take time on this br ief news-writing to explain it all, but you can be assured, you will not be disappointed to discover the details and how it can affect your lifea n d s er vi ce .

We praiseGodfor all the answered prayersas wehave asked. God has seenfitto keepmehere on earth. For how long? God is the one that knows that. As the apostle Paul saii live is Christ and to die is gain. We win either way. We are thankful that I am stillaround despite what the doctors ail thought. Assome of you know already my iliostomreversal surgeiy did not go as smoothly as planned. After surgery on March 13th my itestines developed a blockage. Not surehow or why but they started to swell up. TTiwas quite a bit of internal bleeding as well. During the second surgery, I started bleedingand went through 10 units of blood. They worked for several hours to untanglemy intestines and because of all the complications they could not closeme back up. Theyendeduhaving to sedate me for 5 days to allow mybody to restand heal. Theydid tryto go bacand close me backup after I stabilized but were unable to do so. Right nowI have a holin my stomach 6 wide and 8 long. The swelling has gone down and it is healing uTliey had to give me a skin graft three weeks ago and it is taking well. I am on the mendIn a year, they plan to do a hernia surgery and pull that together where there is no muscle.Well the doctors did not think I would pull tluough this one but I am doing well evthough I still canno t l if t more than 5 lbs at a time. THANK YO U ALL FOR YOUPRAYERS during my month in the hospital and now while I am going through all the recuperating. It has been exciting to see God's hand of healing on my life and His hand onTen as my caregiver and helpmate etc. She has been so strong through all of this.
