Role Intern in Technology Business Development - Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO)

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

• To ensure that innovation is a driving force across the technology landscape at JPMC• Working closely with all LOBs to help overcome their challenges, finding innovative solutions through our extensive network of internal and external technology sources • Advise JPMC Clients on current technology trends – Building out relationships that can benefit all the LOB from private banking to IB

PROJECT FOCUS - ONE CHASE CONTACT CENTERS OF THE FUTURE

BRIEF

To liaise with and compile vendor proposals for Contact Centers of the future into one presentable JPMC deck

IMPLEMENTATION

• Set up meetings with Intel, Verizon, Nuance, Gartner, Cisco to ensure that they understood the brief • Compacted and Compiled 140 slides into one presentable 40 slide deck ready for the Chase Advisory Board meeting with key technology figures within the retail bank

PROJECT FOCUS - FINTECH MARKET DEVELOPMENT

BRIEF

• To build a deck in response to a growing trend of investment in the Financial Technologies space that highlights key investment opportunities in this area to assist clients interested in the European Technology Landscape

IMPLEMENTATION

• Built out view of the fintech landscape identifying all the key companies operating in this space• Performed dive deeps on four key emerging Fintech companies of interest working with the IB’s TMT team to identify key financials on these firms • Provided a JPMC view point on the usage of these firms solutions using JPMC leverage within technology to evaluate the use value of the four companies solutions • Compiled the information into a deck to be used in sessions with clients to give a better understanding of the landscape and potential opportunities for investment in the future

To research the potential opportunities for JPMC in holding greater influence in the $50-350m technology space in the EMEA and Asia

RESEARCH

• Focused on Europe, China and India used online resources to identify the size of the current emerging tech market • Identified the number of deals that took place within the $50- 350m technology space in the past 24 months in each of the above geographical locations • Researched JPMC current position within each of the spaces e.g. what our current market coverage is and who are the key decision makers in each of these spaces • Calculated JPMC current market share in TMT in each of the regions identifying the spaces where we could perform better

• Identifying the top 25 Venture Capitalists in Asia-Pacific and Israel• Researching which fortune 250 companies have independent non-client based venture funds• Building and developing relationships with external businesses that could be beneficial to be a part of the technology business development network • Gaining information and correct contacts details for potential opportunities within technology for JPMC
