▪ Cellphones used to be a thing of mythology in the past, and if someone did have them they were large and bulky.

▪ Now everyone has a cell phone and they are small enough to fit in pockets.

Handgun Accessories▪ The gun industry didn’t fall behind when it comes to change.

▪ New products are coming out constantly.

▪ Guns become smaller and more refined with accessories to go along with them.

▪ With so many accessories available, it is easy for some to go overboard on making modifications.

Handgun Accessories

• Does this Glock look useful for concealed carry?• The answer is NO.

Handgun Accessories▪ The Glock on the previous slide is obviously not something

that would be useable for EDC.

▪ It’s really not even practical for home defense use.

▪ The knife isn’t the only impractical piece on that Glock. So is the magazine.

▪ With to large of a magazine come a high possibility of printing.

Round Count▪ It is important to have some rounds on hand no doubt, but you

should never throw all concealability and comfort to the wind.

▪ That magazine could be good for a range or a nightstand but not much more.

▪ Not everyone is going to try and carry something like this, but this shows some people can go overboard on accessorizing.

Flashlights or Lasers

• This picture shows a Glock with a flashlight laser combo installed.

Flashlights or Lasers▪ Despite the fact that this attachment may be a little bulky, it

serves as a dual purpose attachment.

▪ I believe that every accessory needs to have a purpose or its not worth adding to the gun.

Flashlights or Lasers▪ For home defense, a flashlight is a great idea, but for other

situations they could possibly get you into trouble.

▪ Say you have to go to the corner-store at night and end up parking in a dimly lit area. Whatever you do, never use your gun just as a typical illuminator.

▪ If the police happened to drive by you could get into a lot of legal trouble or worse.

Flashlights or Lasers▪ Common sense would tell you not to make this mistake, but

sometimes even the best slip up.

▪ Now onto laser sights.

▪ Laser sights can help improve your accuracy just don’t go pointing it around like a regular laser pointer.

Night-Sights▪ If you don’t want to carry around a tactical light or laser on your gun,

but still want the benefits to be able to shoot at night, there are night sights available.

▪ Trijicon, Meprolight, HiViz and Ameriglo are just some of the companies that make night sights for almost every make and model of handgun.

▪ These are easy to install, and don’t cost an arm and a leg.

▪ It is important to have good sights for concealed carry.

Grips

Grips▪ In my opinion, the grip is one of the most important parts

of any handgun.

▪ A gun that just doesn’t fit is most likely not going to be accurate.

▪ When it comes down to it, only the bullets that hit matter.

Modifications▪ In the end, there are going to be positives and negatives of

any different modification.

▪ If done improperly, you could be looking at a dangerous situation.

▪ If done properly your EDC pistol can turn out better than ever.
