Hannah Starkey
• Born in Belfast, Ireland in 1971• Now lives and works in London
Hannah Starkey uses actresses in her photographs who pose in reconstructed settings that are meant to mirror everyday life. Most of her photographs are of women who appear to be engaged in regular routines, for example a photograph of women standing on the street. Arguably Starkey photographs the moments in everyday life that have become almost invisible to the rest of the world.
