Celebrating the Summer Olympics On August 5 the Summer Olympics began in Rio. At Dinwiddie Health and Rehab we celebrated by holding our own Olympic themed games and celebrated our support for Team USA. We began the morning with an opening ceremony. As two of our staff members were singing our National Anthem, a resident brought in a “torch” symbol and sat it on the center table. The day was followed by ring toss, pool noodle tennis, and a pool noodle “javelin” throw. We ended the afternoon with Olympic themed snacks. Everyone had a wonderful day full of fun and LOTS of laughs.
DHR staff show their support for Team USA by dressing in red, white and blue for the day.

Resident Council Yard Sale
Thank you to everyone that donated items for the Resident Council Spring yard sale. They had a great turn out and did very well on their fund raising efforts. The Residents would like to have another yard sale for the Fall. We have set the date for October 8, 2016 again from 8:00 – 1:00. We are asking for donations for Items to sell. We would also like to have seasonal craft items to sell. If you are fall cleaning and have some items you wish to donate we would love to have them.
