Hello, my name is Dalton Trejo and I am one of the Spanish teachers at Harwood Junior High. A little about myself- I am the youngest of three boys. My family (dad, mom, brothers) all migrated from El Salvador in Central America. I am the first to be born in the United States out of our entire family. I graduated from UTA in Arlington where I received a bachelors in Spanish with a minor in Humanities. I am currently in my third year as a teacher and spent my first two years in Midlothian ISD. I am married and have two kids, Abygayle (9) and Justin (7). We have a third one on the way due in January 2017! I am super excited to have a new born baby! I am a worship leader at my church in Grand Prairie, and know how to play piano, guitar and violin. In my free time I love to go disc golfing at different courses around DFW. I am excited about working in HEB ISD and am happy to meet you all during the years that I am here!

Yankee Candle orders and prizes have been delivered. Winners of the limo pizza lunch will be receiving permission slips through their second period class next week. They must be returned to the school in order for your student(s) to attend. Don’t forget to bring in canned food items for Christmas Providers! You can reduce your student’s fine in the library for every canned good that you bring.
On Tuesday, December 6th, you can get your volunteer badge made in the library from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Go to our Facebook page for the link to sign up. The book fair will be in the library as well, so save some time shopping for the holidays and support our library at the same time!

Chris Willsey has reported that Harwood’s Reflections contest entries have been received and judged. Three winners have moved on to the HEB ISD Council of PTA’s for district judging.
