Note from HARI BOT:
HARI Advisory Board (HAB, comprises of all past Presidents and Chairs) met on Sunday, June 9. The committee was apprised of the current state of affairs at HARI including the Financial/Operational and maintenance/Facility upgrades. HAB recommended several things to the Board (BOT), chief of which was formation of long-term committees on important activities at HARI to optimize the experience and wisdom of past volunteers.
BOT at its meeting on Sunday, June 16 approved the nomination of Vijay Vardarajan as the Youth Forum Director (for the balance of Dr. Kakaria’s term) and Dr. Dinesh Pai as Asst. School Director. Also, after many months of deliberations and feedback from many sources, BOT approved a $1 raise in the voluntary contribution for food served in the lower level dining area. Going forward, the recommended donation for food will be $2 per plate.
Finally, many maintenance and Facility Improvement projects are planned for this summer. We earnestly seek your financial support towards HARI's missions. As always, we are sure that HARI Community will step up to meet temple’s need.

HARI SCHOOL NEWS: HARI School completed yet another successful year. We had a record number of students enrolled in the school this year. Children performed a variety program, including prayer recitals, skits and dances, on the graduation day. About 200 devotees attended the graduation program. I invite you to visit HARI Temple website to see the pictures of the program. HARI School is a great opportunity for young children to expose to our culture, religion, and languages. HARI School also provides opportunities to youth to learn a deeper meaning of Hindu religion and community service. Many volunteer teachers worked hard teaching languages, religion, music, and dances to the students. I encourage everyone to bring children to HARI School for the upcoming school year. Yoga Classes: HARI School now offers Yoga classes during weekdays. Certified Yoga teacher Mr. Ken
Kendre will teach the yoga, two weekdays sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30pm to 7pm. There is no charge to attend the class; however, school registration is required (forty dollars for members, ninety-one dollars for non-members). If you are interested, please register with Mr. Ken Kendre or any EC members listed on HARI Times. Free trial classes on July 9, 2013 at 5:30 pm.
