    Masyarakat telah turun temurun berkebun sagu, dan membiarkan kayu komersialtumbuh di sela-sela tanaman sagu

    KPHP Pulau Tebing Tinggi mendorong pengembangan Klaster HHBK Sagu dan LPHD mendorong pengembangan tanaman sagu untuk perbaikan tegakan hutan

    Luas lahan gambut dalam yang perlu direstorasi di KHG Pulau Tebing Tinggi ±24.000 ha (di luar wilayah konsesi PT. NSP)

    Industri pengolahan (kilang) sagu sudah berkembang, 52 unit di Pulau Tebing Tinggi(dari total 67 unit di Kab. Kep. Meranti)
