Jeff Miller, Sr. Pastor of First United Methodist Church Topic: “Don’t pass the buck on to God” Rev. Miller told the club about his time as a Navy Chaplain and his work as a Family Law attorney then his return to his calling as a minister. He brought along his pals Simon aka the monkey and King the lion. His favorite analogy for life is: It is easy to get down the hard part is getting back up. Don’t Pass the Buck on to God. His job is to help us get back up. Club Business Meeting: Prayer: Paul Loughran Pledges: Jos Portmann Song: Stew Meyer Children’s Miracle Network: Jar passed Paul Loughran gave an update about donations received so far for the pancake supper. Please sell tickets and get the word out. If you have any family or friends with businesses that can donate a door prize let Paul or Vivian know to add to the list If you are willing to Chair the Christmas and Easter Basket Program please call Darrel to let him know. We don’t want to give up this program. Hopefully Builders Club members could help distribute them Darrel brought the painting by Joe Friddle for the raffle. Paul will bring tickets to sell for all the raffle items next week. Other items are hand crafted wooden rocking horse by Mike Delaune and a gas BBQ grill. It is a very congenial Club and Joe comes home with 4 appointments. He gives the card to his wife. Oops! His eyes are what they used to be. Ask Joe what the card really said. :o)
