1. General information The SC700 is a vertical, flush hanging exterior solar shade with a narrow light gap between the guides and the fabric, consisting of: - a box with roller tube and operation system - a special polyester or glass fibre fabric that is rolled up in the box - guides - a weighted bottom lath that: - keeps the fabric taut - ensures proper guidance of the screen fabric.Screens offer: - excellent solar shading - a view outside in the lowered position (under daylight conditions)
Available colours: Consult the colour card in the solar shading price list and the fabric collections.
Mounting types: - Pin guide mounting: The screen box is mounted on the guides. - Flange mounting: The screen box is secured to the wall using mounting flanges,
independent of the guides.

2. Finished sizes
- Finished width (W) = size between rear ends of the consoles- Finished height (H) = height including the box, including the guide end caps (thickness = 2 mm) excluding
mounting brackets (see page 21)Note: The finished height (H) with steel cable guides is the height from the top edge of the box to the lower edge of
bottom lath.
3. Screen box
- Material: extruded aluminium with a powder coating finish or natural silver anodised finish (± RAL 9006)
- Available in three sizes: type 70, type 90, type 110. (see fig.5)
- Fabric guiding profile: - mounted on the box profile - guide the fabric out of the box - used as a stop of the bottom lath over the whole width of the box profile.
Make sure the box can always be opened for easy access to the mechanical parts (see also fig. 9).

4. Consoles
There is a difference between consoles: - basic consoles - middle consoles also auxillary consoles for box extension
- Basic consoles: - aluminium consoles with: - die-casted guide pin (not with guide 770 ) = pin mounting - die-casted fastening hook = flange mounting - universal bearing plates in black synthetic material
- Middle consoles: - aluminium consoles with diecasted guide pin with support for - can hold the bearing for the coupled screen or universal bearing plate.

6. Operation
- Four operating systems available for all box sizes: - Electric operation - Crank operation - Tape operation - Cord operation- Taking into account the allowed width and height (see pag.19).
- Take care when defining the operation side:

- The motor control buttons are always easy to reach - For group operation and automation, see price list screens. - Remark: the motors have an execution time of ± 4 minutes, after that they go into thermal security state (see motor manual).
- Crank operation: - self-braking worm-worm wheel mechanism - with a transfer ratio of 1:4 - with built-in end stop (prevents wrong rolling up of the fabric) - minimum width = 400mm
- Inside operation: - Standard: - grey plasticized foldable crank - 90° cardan joint (crank material: 6 mm square, length 320 mm) - magnetic bracket for securing the crank to the wall - the crank length depends on the screen height: L = H – 150 mm (with a 90° joint) L = H – 350 mm (with a 45° joint) - Options: - 45° cardan joint - detachable crank with tulip coupling - without detachable crank, with tulip coupling. - Remark: the plate of the hinge set cannot be fixed directly onto the box, a separate box space is
therefore required.
- See Figure 10a + 10b for the cardan joint sizes
- Outside operation: - Standard: - Crank operation with eye - Removable crank with laying hook; length 1600 mm - Option: - other crank lengths are possible at extra cost
Attention: foresee enough side space ( ±10mm) to turn the hook of the crank with eye.

8. Box extension
- If it is necessary for the cardan joint to be positioned elsewhere than is provided as standard.- If for aesthetic reasons the box must be extended while the cardan joint stays in the same place.- Choice of different box extensions: A- standard box extension: this means a receding of the cardan joint by 40 mm B- box extension to size: this means e a receding of the cardan joint of more than 40 mm (max. 300 mm) C- false box extension (min 40 mm, max 300 mm): this means the box is adapted and the cardan joint
remains standard D- open false box extension (min 40 mm, max 300 mm): this means the cardan joint remains standard and
the box extended but not covered by a console. - Impossible with flange mounting
9. Multiple screens - It is possible to use 1 box for 2 or 3 screens: - DVC: screens directly next to eachother - DVS: Screen with a small gap of: - Min 25 mm - Max 500 mm - Maximum 6 m box width.- Possible with 1, 2 or 3 operation: - Minimal width for ech part is depending the operation (see page 17) - Maximum overall width per operation: See roll-up tables. Handle and electrical operation can be coupled up to 6 m. - Center control is possible with multiple opeations - It is recommended to place the operating unit in the largest screen
when possible.
10. Roller tube - Material: Extruded aluminium (Ø40, Ø55 or Ø67 mm).- With a fabric groove for attaching the fabric using a plastic tube of Ø4 mm for tube Ø40 mm, Ø55 mm and Ø67
mm.- Various types of roller tubes are possible, depending on the type of operation, the quality of the fabric, and the
box type: tube Ø40 mm (not for electrical operation), tube Ø55 mm and tube Ø67 mm.
