1. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and
repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached
in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke 24:46-47
2. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in
heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore
and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am with you always,
to the end of the age. Matthew 28:16-20
Dear Church Family, We are just six weeks away from
Harvest Sunday. Have you been praying
about what the Lord wants you to
contribute? Have you been thinking and
studying about what “MISSIONS”
means to you as a believer, to us as the
body of Christ, and to the Kingdom of
God? We aren’t all called to be missionaries,
but the Bible tells us what we are
commanded and commissioned to do in
response to receiving salvation – to
follow Jesus and take up our cross daily,
to pray and be thankful, to keep His
commandments, to love as He first loved
us, to be a servant, to help those in need,
to share the Good News, and to make
disciples who will then do the same. It is increasingly more important for the
church to be a light in the darkness of a
fallen world. There are so many lost
souls – the harvest is plenty! The world
is looking for something that’s missing –
let’s point the world to HIM!
