Mahatma Gandhi communicated a quin-tessential message to the nation through his efforts to educate peo-ple about cleanliness. He wished to see a „clean India‟ where peo-ple will work hand in hand. To work seriously towards this vision
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Swachh bharat Abhiyan. He launched this movement on 2nd October 2014. He asked the people of the
country to help him implement this
movement successfully. This mission seeks to achieve the goal of clean India within the next few years so that the 150th birth anniversary of Bapu can be celebrated as an accomplishment of this duty. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan exhorts every Indian to devote 100 hours every year towards the cause of
cleanliness. As many as nine public figures – Mridula Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, Shashi Tharoor, Anil Ambani, Kamal Hassan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and team Tarak Mehta Ka Ootla Chasma – have been invited by the Prime Minister to make a contribution towards Swachh Bharat. Let us do what we can to keep our environment clean.
