Jesus, I Trust in You – St. Faustina
End of School Year Reminders: Please pick up all medications, cough drops, Chapstick, etc. that are in the school
office. Also, be sure to check for any ‘lost and found’ items. Left over medications will be disposed of over the
summer and lost clothing will be put in the exchange closet or taken to Goodwill if non-uniform.
House Accounts: House Accounts for June lunches and milk are due. That would total up to two hot lunches and up
to 10 days of milk for each child. Please check in at the office for your final amount due!
Current Address: Parents, if you have moved over the past year, please make sure that the school office has your
current address for summer mailings (report card, back to school info, etc.). Also, if your phone number has changed,
please let us know. Thank you.
Supply List & Calendar: Please note that the supply list and calendar for the 2015-2016 school year are included in
today’s Wednesday packet. They will also be posted on the school website.

Librarian Appreciation
We really appreciate all that Mrs.
Zellner does for our school!! She is a
hard-working and very faithful
volunteer!!
She runs a successful Scholastic Book
Fair every year. It is a major
fundraiser for the library and brings
in many new books!
She comes in week after week, rain or
shine, reads to our students and
teaches them library skills. She keeps
track of all the books, checking out,
checking in, and restocking the
shelves.
She is always ready to lend a hand and help out in the office or
wherever she is needed! We treasure her!!
THANK YOU MRS. ZELLNER!
Sacred Heart Catholic School, a mission of Sacred Heart-St. Louis Parish, forms children in knowledge,
virtue and the spiritual life in a safe and positive educational environment that they may develop into
disciples of Jesus Christ.
Dear Sacred Heart Catholic School Parents,
It has been a pleasure working with the students, staff, and parents throughout this past school year. I cannot
believe our 8th grade class graduated last night, although I do know they were ready and I do expect great
things from them as they go through high school years and beyond. I am very proud and impressed with each
student in the Sacred Heart Catholic School class of 2015! They will bring pride to the high schools that they
will attend, not only because of their individual talents, but because of their strong spirit of faith. May our
Lord bless and guide them on their life’s journey.
Today’s Wednesday packet will contain a 2015-1016 school calendar (please note that school will begin on
August 31, 2015) and the school supply list. This information will also be available on our website:
www.shstl.org.
The end of this school year is a sad time for all at Sacred Heart School as we are saying good-bye to our
beloved school secretary, Mrs Karen Nys. Her presence will be missed, but we are thankful for the ten years
she has spent fulfilling our mission of forming children in knowledge, virtue, and the spiritual life as they
develop as disciples of Jesus Christ. Please join us in thanking her for her dedicated and caring service and in
wishing her many blessings for a happy retirement.
Report Cards will be mailed to each family the week after school is out. Please be aware that if Tuition and
or House Accounts have outstanding balances, the Report Cards will be held.
I am so excited about the three recent grants that we have received for Sacred Heart Catholic School! We
received a grant from the Oktoberfest that will allow the school to add graphing calculators for our seventh
and eighth grade Math program! We have been blessed again this year with a grant from the Salem Catholic
Schools Foundation of $57,000 for Bricks, Mortar, & Technology (B, M, &T) projects! The funds are
designated for the completion of the heat and air conditioning ($45,000) that had begun last summer! The
boiler will be decommissioned! We will be able to place column/post protectors ($2,000) on the covered play
area with the Archdiocesan Safety Grant and the B, M, & T grant combined. The remaining funds ($10,000)
are to be used to set up our new Pre-K Program. Sacred Heart Catholic School is truly blessed and I thank
God for all he has provided for us!
On behalf of the faculty and staff I would like to offer a BIG THANK YOU to all parents who have
volunteered your services this year. We could not have done it without you!
Have a safe, blessed, and restful summer!

Principal
