HAVE FUN BECOMING A PULL UP MACHINE! A pull up works on every muscle in the upper body and is one of the best activators of the core. It hits the shoulders, arms, and traps. Because pull ups are a bodyweight exercise, the more you weigh, the more difficult it is to do. 1. Choke the band around the center of the pullup bar. You can use different bands to provide varying levels of assistance.

3. Pull yourself upward by contracting the lats as you flex the elbow. Pull to the front, attempting to get your chin over the bar. After a brief pause, return to the starting position.

2. Pull the end of the band down, and place one bent knee or a foot into the loop, ensuring it won't slip out. Take a medium to wide grip on the bar. This will be your starting position.

1. Choke the band around the center of the pullup bar. You can use different bands to provide varying levels of assistance.

3. Pull your torso up until your head is around the level of the pull-up bar. Concentrate on using the biceps muscles in order to perform the movement. Keep the elbows close to your body.

After a second, slowly lower your torso back to the starting position. Breathe in as you perform this portion of the movement. After a brief pause, return to the starting position.

2. Pull the end of the band down, and place one bent knee into the loop, ensuring it won't slip out. Grab the pull-up bar with the palms facing your torso and a grip closer than the shoulder width. This will be your starting position.

3. As soon as the lower chest travels above bar line, rotate the elbows upward and pull your upper torso over and forward. From here, simply extend through the elbows and push the body up. Drop back down to the starting “pre stretch” position.

1. Choke the band around the center of the pull up bar. Put your foot into the band and grip the bar. Place a box under the band to step in before the exercise.

Step off of the box to achieve the “pre-stretch”. Step forward and extending the entire body at roughly a 45 degree angle. Each rep should start and end here.

2. While keeping the entire body tight and rigid, look up at the bar, and forcefully pull with the upper body. As you begin to travel upward, maintain some space between your body and the bar.

The muscle-up is a skill that is essentially a pull-up followed by a dip.MUSCLE UPS
