CONCEPTPerchépolis will buy its own castle to create the Havre dê Perche [Perche Haven]!

The H²P aka Hâvre de Perche [Perche Haven] is the new colossal project of Perchépolis (independent and non-profit), that is the purchase and transformation of a magnificent castle into a Peace Haven, open all year round, at the forefront of free parties and societal advances; a true laboratory of life and noble human sensations organised around 3 main pillars: the artistic, the social and activism.

Like a living space, Le Havre dê Perche [Perche Haven] wants to be a space where individual, collective, inner and outer freedom can be expressed without constraint. We want this place to be a space for expression and reflection on collective activities orientated towards art, exploration, education and the environment. Another way of living art, of approaching altruism, of conceiving the world.

Art is at the heart of the activities, as it has been since the beginning of the perchés projects. It can be found both in the desire for entertainment and in conveying the powerful messages of the collective. The party, an inevitable expertise, will have a prominent place, but another part of the annual activities will be centred on periods of rest in the castle, taking the form of spiritual, artistic and experimental retreats conceived of and accompanied by an artist. These periods in the castle will allow the participants to take time to experience communal living, to seek to create a more intimate interaction with their inner self.

Participants will thus experience moments outside of time, from one day to two weeks depending on the events. These “parties” can be free, like the famous Château Perché, CheesePorn, or Cuddle Parties, or supervised: such as Transverberare, Protocole d’extase [Protocol of Ecstasy], and spiritual, artistic, and experimental retreats under empirical influence, the participants will be guided by exceptional artists through playing the game of letting go.

THE ARTISTIC

THE SOCIAL PILARProgressivism at the heart of the Perche.

With this project Perchépolis wishes to transcend the social approach in artistic and cultural projects. Our focus on social inclusion means the H²P project is accessible, multicultural, intergenerational and promotes diversity and coexistence. As respect for humans is intrinsically tied to respecting their environment, H²P continues on the sustainability initiatives of the the Château Perché festival, as a signatory of the Drastic on Plastic charter for example.

When entering the haven, our participants put on their best human attire and masquerade the everyday life that becomes their new reality. Using empiricism, the project draws on new social practices and proposes concrete actions woven into a spider’s web for isolated people.

For example, by welcoming migrants into artistic life projects, or by creating workshops on emotional intelligence and learning about multicultural richness in schools in underprivileged areas, and in parallel by opening a safe living space for LGBTQIA+ people no longer welcome in their homes.

ACTIVISMActing to make the world a better place.

Existing as a utopian bubble insulated from an unjust and largely imperfect world is fine, helping this world become more thoughtful by adopting a bolder strategy is better. Our capacity to act is often limited, we lack certain tools to be able to develop our thinking, our actions, our activism.

This is why Le Havre dê Perche [Perche Haven] is committed to welcoming, helping, uniting and even creating organised and active structures outside its walls. It will thus become a place of reflection and organising activist projects around various essential issues such as fundamental rights and the environment. For example, the H²P will host representatives of the No Plastic Society in order to organise a campaign against the use of plastic in Stockholm.

FOR WHOM IS THISPROJECT? HOW DOES IT WORK?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A “PERCHEURFONDATRICE” [FOUNDING PERCHEUR]?

The finances to bring this beautiful project to life initially come from the Percheurs Fondatrices [Founding Percheurs] and then from annual subscribers who will come for colourful parties or retreats. The money is used to maintain the castle, to welcome and/or train people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and to finance artistic and activist projects.

They are someone who has understood the artistic, social and activist intentions of the project, and who dreams of seeing this utopia become a reality. It is a person who has understood that they are investing for the common interest and for their own; who can envision themselves meeting, playing, rejoicing at any time of the year, accompanied by people from different countries, whose heart is tinted gold.
